Unusual things your kids love or enjoy...

Ds 16 mos twirls around when he sees ice skating on tv. The first time he did I amost peed my pants from laughing! He also likes to chew on soap. Anytime he sees the bar of soap in the bathroom he goes for it! yuck!

I just might win this contest. Oh, it's not a contest? Just for fun? Well enjoy this....

Both my kids DD11 & DS8 totally LOVE going to the dentist. :confused3

Yep, you heard me right. Kinda helps that they've never had any problems, but still... it's weird.

OMG!! That is my DS and DD!
Although I think his reason is because he likes all of the games and stuff in the office. He's always asking me if he can PLEASE go to the dentist!
On his last appointment I told the girl cleaning his teeth that he asks to come to the dentist more than he does Chuckie Cheese! LOL She just looked at me like I had two heads!
He also has never had any problems, so I'm sure that helps!
My DD likes the way her teeth feel after a cleaning, and would go once a month if she could.

They didn't get their love of the dentist from me that's for sure! :scared1:

I love this thread!
My DS, turning 3 on Tuesday, has a massive foot fetish!
He's had it since he could crawl, he loves feet - anyone's feet!
He wears my shoes (slip-on sneaks) around the house,
since DH's are too heavy yet for him.
We brought a lot of toys to WDW on our trip last April,
but the thing that entertained him the most was lining up all of our shoes,
in all different arrangements, for hours on end.
The cutest thing was when he went into the kiddie pool at ASMo
and DOVE for all the girls' toes!!
It was too funny - they really played him up, as they were older
and he had just turned 2.
He was in heaven with lots of little feet and toes to play with
(I did wonder if their parents would be upset, and stood ready
to tell him that we don't play with stranger's toes,
but they all got a kick out of it and told me it was fine).

He is so sweet, for the past year and half he comes up and hugs
one of my feet and kisses the top *awwww*.
I've never asked/encouraged this, BTW, it's just something he's always done.

On the topic of musicals, he was under the weather this weekend
so I introduced him to the Sound of Music - well, I believe he's
now in love with Julie Andrews!
He sat down and wouldn't get up, just watched and watched and got
a little upset when 'intermission' came and it was time for a nap.
Now he keeps requesting it,
he's watched the first part 3 times over in the past 2 days!

and I won't let him watch Survivor "live" with us, but tape it for him. Now we can debate if a kindergartener should be watching Survivor. :teeth:

!

My 6 year old loves watching survivor...we have been watching it together sine she was like 2 years old. We get a bucket of popcorn out on a Thursday night and sit down and watch survivor together. She also likes the amazing race, dancing with the stars, skating with celebrities and american idol.
She watches Celebrity Fit club with me but when its surreal life season I have to watch the one that comes on after 11 so she is sleeping since that show is a bit much!

My son is a roller coaster freak.

He keeps a record on which ones he has gone one in an Excel spreadsheet organized by type and state of coaster.

He's been on all the biggies in this area and different parts of the US. He's got roller coaster Tshirts, sweatshirts, keychains and such like that.

My daughter isn't really into anything extrordinary or different. Just makeup, American Girl, and Hilary Duff.

I had to laugh when I saw this topic again. I didn't realize it was from 2-3 month back and read it and was surprised to see my posting. I shook my head thinking that I'd forgotten a posting that I'd just made (I rarely drink so knew that wasn't it LOL) and was relieved to see an early November date. :rotfl:

Jake is still into Survivor and we'll all be ready and waiting in a few days for it to start. He also likes Amazing Race and at least asks me who got eliminated, especially in the last family show. He hasn't had any "family" tribal councils lately, but that will probably start when the new shows shart this week.

Now that we have TIVO I could let him watch with us (so I can rewind live tv to catch when he talk...) , but he's usually in bed by 8pm, the sleepy little guy so he'll probably continue to watch it the next day. He also likes Apprentice. No, I don't let him watch Desperate Housewives with me. :rotfl:

When other kids were watching those kiddie shows, my kids were watching game shows. They love them even now! When they have a day off school they're excited because they're going to watch The Price is Right.

They love spanish music (DH is Hispanic). They have no idea what the new songs in English are but they know all the new ones in spanish. Even my 2 year old says "not this" when I attempt to listen to the radio in the car.

Like PP, my kids enjoy Survivor, Amazing Race, and Dancing with the Stars. Their bedtime is 8pm but we tape it for them.

The only problem was my 9 year old took it VERY hard when the Gaghan family was voted off.
