Unusual places to find food/snacks?

Now I know things change from year to year...and reading all those Navigators from years past to modern day can really throw a person on what to expect ;) But every once in a while I'll see a Navigator, or a trip report that mentions food in a place I didn't know you could get food on the DCL.

I know about the breakfast/lunch/dinner places on the Wonder: AP, T, PC, Palo, Pinocchios, Plutos, Scoops, Room Service, Castaway Cay lunch.

But what about places where you've seen food or snacks being offered else that were gratis (i.e. I am aware of the candy concession outside of the movie theater, but it's not free.) For instance, I just found out that Scoops serves wraps..not just ice cream!

(I also wish someone had a menu list for items offered at Pin/Plut/Scoops...sure, it's "stand/concession" type food, but you can find concession food info for WDW...just not DCL )

There are sites that list the menus for the various food places, but we are not allowed to post them here as some are run by people in the travel business. You might locate some of them by doing a google search on "Disney Cruise" or something like that--I haven't tried this, but it might work.

The best tip I have is that the menu isn't etched in stone. For instance, you can get Mickey bars from room service. It isn't listed on the menu, but is available. Wraps at Scoops? That's new to me. I knew they had wraps at Pluto's.

If you happen to be without children, the food at Serenity Bay (on Castaway Cay) isn't always the same as at Cookie's BBQ. Of course, this is an "adults only" location, but the food was great!

We found late night snacks at the entrance to the Promenade Lounge and Beat Steet area late at night but it was only set up for about an hour. (egg rolls, coconut shrimp, fruit, little desserts, etc...)

I've seen pizza at Beat Street and the Promonade Lounge late at night. The one that I didn't know about until the 3rd cruise was that they serve wings and panini sandwiches on sea days at the Overlook Bar.

We just happened to luck out and find these...My dh found them the first time, and we were HOOKED... :goodvibes These wings are excellent, and the panini's even better.. I think the thing is, they have very limited hours on this.. :scratchin

You're right mommasita, I think they are only open on sea days between 11:30 and 2:00. It's sad I never realized that bar was there the first 2 cruises. I don't think it's open very much. They also held the concierge reception at the Outlook Bar.

Other things you may stumble upon are snacks at Diversions. I've seen tortilla chips with nacho cheese and salsa but I've read they've had heavier snacks available during big games.
