Unused ticket purchased through Viator

I am going to visit DD, who works at both WDW and Universal. Just a few days ago I bought tickets for Epic Universe through Viator, which are date specific, and I have vouchers that I have to exchange for tickets at Universal. I bought tickets for both of us. Today Universal announced that, starting tomorrow, employees can use their comp tickets for Epic, which means she no longer needs the ticket I bought her. Does anyone have any recent experience on whether I can apply the value of the ticket voucher to another ticket in the future? Or maybe I need to exchange the voucher for the ticket and then see if I can use the value of the ticket at a future date? I will ask when we are there, I just thought maybe someone here had recent experience on saving the value of an unused, date specific ticket.

The first thing you should verify with your daughter’s ticket is the specific date availability to make the exchange. Do not give up your two tickets until you are certain the matching date that you need will be available.
I think EPIC has limited capacity . That is why I am cautioning you for the remainder of the year with Halloween and Holidays that increase crowd levels.
Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure will not be a concern but I am not certain about EPIC for this first year .
I was able to make a date exchange for 2 tickets purchased earlier in the year directly from Universal for EPIC but I was worried because of the fine print on the ticket. Technically they could have refused to change the date from the Opening date to December !
