pirate: We have unused tickets from 1991 and 2000. How do we go about using them for our trip tomorrow? Do we have to stop at the front gate and turn them in for newer tickets? :goodvibes

You may want to go down to the Community Board and have a look at someone's experiences from a little while ago. While I've understood that it wasn't a big deal to change them over to todays admission media, it seems thay had quite an ordeal... and she was quite pi44#d!

I had unused PHPs that we used in April. We didn't have to exchange them for MYW passes. They worked just fine in the turnstiles.

I would be reluctant to exchange them if I didn't have to. The PHs can be used by any member of your family but the MYW passes are biometrically coded to a single person.

The 2000 tickets can be used as-is. I'm not sure about the 1991 tickets. Tickets without magnetic stripes can be exchanged for more modern tickets at no cost.

Starting in June 2005 all pre-2005 adult tickets are biometrically encoded beginning with their next usage if not already.

If you are going to need to buy a new pass, you should buy it at the start of your vacation to cover your entire vacation, and not use old passes.

The 1991 tickets will have to be exchanged at any Guest Relations location before you can use them. There is no charge for this. The 2000 tickets can be used as is with nothing more needing to be done to them.

We exchanged tickets from 1997, 1991, 1987, and 1982 on our last trip in 2004. It was very easy and it didn't cost me anything extra. They gave us cute passes about the size of a business card to slip in the turnstiles. I works out beter to trade them in for new tickets but it does not work to your advantage to use them to trade in to a MYW ticket - the cost it crazy that way. Good luck. HTH.

pirate: Well we returned from our fantastic trip last night (10/8 - 10/15) and had no problem exchanging our past tickets for current ones.
