Congrats on being there 1 year! Do you get that awesome pin of Steamboat Willie (Mickey)? I heard you get that after working at the park for 1 year.

I was going to ask if you got a pin too. Do you collect them? DBF's cousin works there ans says she finds them on the ground or left behind on rides all the time. I guess she has a lot of them.

i still have all my holiday pins... i just dont have the Nemo pin because i didnt work that day...

well, its a big round pin... nothing that special... same with the POTC preimere and 4th of july pin...

I do collect CM pins. It's really fun I always see the same group of people on Main Street who are always there. I call them "pin vulchers" because most of them are greedy and rude.

Last summer I was looking at a CM's pins and he offered me a mickey hand holding fast pass tickets. He said it was supposed to be part of a pin hunt and it was for CM's only. He told me that there was a mob of people who were hounding the CM's tryign to get a hold of one. I didn't even know about it and was watching Billy Hill and the Hillbillies at the time. I traded with him and he said I should hide it from guests! LOL!

I like to collect CM pins for fun and it's cool to talk to the cast members. I do have that 1 year Steamboat Willie pin.

I bought a bunch of cheap pins on ebay and am going to try my luck at trading the next time I go to Disneyland. When I went for my birthday in June I only traded one because I liked the ones I bought on ebay too much. Now I've got some that I don't like so I will have some to trade.

I like to trade pins at Bonanza Outfitters in Frontierland. If you go to the area that sells pins, sometimes the CM's have cool pins. I've also found cool pins inside the small store to the left of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. Right when you walk under the entrance you'll see it on the left and they sell Tink stuff. Not many people notice the pins I guess, but those are some good places to check.

My mom and I were think about buying a "mystery lot" of pins on ebay. I can't see trading a pin that I paid full price for because if I bought it while at Disneyland it must mean I really liked it.

I never heard of a mystery lot on ebay. I don't like grab bags for stuff.

Well I figure as long as the person has sold alot of items and has 100% positive feedbacks I'll be OK. And it doesn't matter if I like them or not cuz the ones I don't like I'll trade. There's an auction right now fo r50 pins and it's up to $51.00 plus $15 shipping. Even if it goes up to $60.00 that's only $1.50 per pin. Not bad!

It's a bright sunshiney day, not too hot yet but I'm sure we will be hitting triple digits today-- blehhhhhhhhhhhh.

My poor boys walk home from school in that heat.
Justin slides his shirt off as soon as he gets inside.. then tries to lower the temp for the AC to kick in (STOP!!! Keep it where it is!) , sits in front of the computer (which is right below an AC vent) and cools off while playing games.

Noah comes home 2 hours later, beet red face (not burned, he wears a hat), soaked T-shirt. Guzzles two full glasses of water, peels off his shirt and gives himself a quick scrub down with a cold wet washcloth.

Neither one complains.

I feel bad for them, but there is NO bus for highschool and district bus servive costs $250 a year per child The temps will drop in a month or two, besides the extra walking is helping keep my kids healthy

Alos, hubby promised Noah that he gets $100 for not using the bus this year Good incentive don't ya think?

I've bought large lots of pins on eBay for trades.. worth it if (with shipping) you can get them under $3 each. For awhile there the CMs had picky rules when it came to trades, they relaxed the rules again so even if you get a few european pins (rougher texture, not shiny) you can still use them for trades.

There is an online store that has good sales on pins. It's called going24-7.com, they have Disney beanies too.
Hmm, not a spectacular sale right now.. they have an email list, sometimes they have a big sale and you can find a bunch of $2 pins.

I like the gallery they have.. I soooooooooo want to do this with my pins, much better than collecting dust in a pin bag.

Can't remember if I posted this but by BFF's daughter had her brain surgery on Monday. It looks like everything went well. The Dr. did a cat scan on Tuesday morning and the shunt is working properly. She is still in the ICU but should be moving to a regular room later today. I can't wait till she's in a regular room so I can send balloons and flowers and a big stuffed bear! Oh, remember the MIA dad??? Well my BFF tracked him down and he actually showed up to his sister's house like he said he would and BFF drove him herself down to the hospital on Monday morning. Looks like he's MIA no more. Hopefully he'll stick around this time. BFF has a boyfriend and he was not too happy about Dad being back in the picture. Boyfriend has been raising the baby as he's own so we'll see what happens now.

I made my mom a pin board for mother's day. I just took a bulletin board, covered in it black foam and painted the wooden edges bright yellow. Then I used small colorful foam letters to spell out "Mom's Disney Pins". Oh, and I put colorful mickey mouse stickers around the outside too. I think I took pictures, I'll have to look for them or have my mom take some.

Howdy Hyenas!! Just taking a little break from surfing the internet. The last 3 days I have been working on a project for my boss. We are looking for new hotel locations. So I have been on the internet looking for hotels for sale, tourist areas, hotels rates, area demographics, etc... Needless to say my eyes are shot by the time I get home and Dising is the last thing in the world I want to do!

But alas, no on is here, not even Alex talking about poop! Hope everyone has a great afternoon.
