kid: i want that pink rabbit.

Me: sweetie, you mean the mickey inside the balloon?

kid: no, i want that rabbit.

Me: sweetie, i dont have a rabbit balloon.

Mom: what the heck, she cant have that pink rabbit balloon?

Me: *sigh* *stop arguing before it gets worst.

:sad2: :sad2: what a mean mom

Event dates and time:

7:30 p.m. - October 5, 12, 19, 26 <-- All Fri?
6:30 p.m. - October 4, 11, 18, 25, 29, 30, 31 <-- All THurs?
Ahhhhh, interesting. I wonder if Thursday nights are longer and less crowded?

Not a mean mom, just a rude guest. Sounds like she's one of those parents who gives their kid anything s/he wants, and is rude of anybody else doesn't jump at the chance to do the same. :sad2:

What scares me even more is people who behave like a woman I saw in Walmart a few days ago. She had one little girl riding inside the shopping cart crying and tears are streaming down her face. The mom stops her cart abruptly, yells at her and picks up her daughter up by the under arm and starts hitting her several times in a row. The girl is screaming bloody murder at this point and the mom is yelling really close to the girl's face and hits her some more. I was really shocked and it made me want to cry just seeing that.

probably to draw the fireworks crowd from Disneyland... for Friday and most likely letting people stay at DCA longer... or maybe it closes earlier...

"Supposively" from Miceage's article, there is suppose to have a new Haloween fireworks...

I hope not! Last year I didn't know it was the halloween event and I showed up on a weekday. It was soo crowded I had to park on the roof of the parking structure (which never happends). Then I saw a ton of kids with costumes on and thought: "Oh snap!" :faint:

Whooaaahhhh! That's pretty shocking, especially these days. Even when i was a kid and spanking was more common, it was pretty shocking to see someone get hit in public.

you know they skip a few floors on slow season... not only that, they only fill the levels very vaguely...

I was spanked and grounded as a kid but to see something like that is something I don't wish to see. :sad1:

I didn't like parking on the roof. I remember the escalator to go back up was turned off. :sad2:

So we'll be there on Thurs. Oct. 11; would you expect DL to be much quieter that night? I think DL is open until 8 that night, and I imagine DCA (if it closes at 5) will open for MHT at 7 or 7:30?

I guess it might not make much difference that night, but definitely see how it could help clear the crowds a bit from the fireworks on Friday.

My siblings were asking if you could ride on the rides in DCA or is it only trick or treating? What do you do exactly? Do we have to dress up?

Staley says the rides are running during MHT. There are also craft activities, character meets, and candy stations. I'm not sure what else, though it sounded like no food or drink selling? Sounds like a thirsty night!

Kids dress up, and it sounded like some adults dress up, too, though DH and I are not planning to. I definitely think your little sis should dress up! :thumbsup2
