:( my son 10 just fractured leg in two places and we are suppose to be leaving in 20 days it just make me soo sad . need some help decideing should we stay home or do you think it will be ok?

do you have schedule flexibility you could go in a few months when the leg is better healed?

There's lots he can do at WDW with a fractured leg,
but lots he won't be able to do as well

My sister severely sprained her ankle right before a trip to WDW about 17 years ago. She was about 16 at the time. She wasn't in a cast but a large ace bandage thing. Well, she was able to do everything we did. We took turns pushing her around in a wheelchair that we rented at the park. (I remember trying to scare her at top of the incline going into "The Land" and then telling her I was going to let her go. I was about 13 at the time. It sounds mean, I guess, but I didn't do it. To this day, we -- or make that I -- still laugh about it! lol.)

Anyway, we all had a good time. WDW does a lot to accommodate people in wheelchairs.

I would assume that, after 3 weeks in a cast, DS will be used to it, and will probably be able to maneuver around pretty well and be able to get in and out of a rented wheelchair easily. Swimming might be impossible, though, for him.

Good luck, and swift recovery vibes to DS!

:)
