Unrest in cities across America tonight. CNN building in Atlanta breached. Unrest in NY, Ca, and of course Minnesota.
The authorities in Minneapolis again just left the city to the rioters to do as they please. So much for 8 pm curfew.

Also unruly crowd at the White House. They better look out. Real bullets if they breach the WH grounds.

Cincinnati and Louisville in my area. Cincinnati started peacefully but in the last 30 minutes they started breaking out windows.

Los Angeles and San Jose...they are walking on the freeways and breaking car windows of innocent drivers. In all of these major cities being hit with protestors, watch for spikes in Covid. Very few protestors wearing masks, and in some cases, many police without masks.

Watching here in Denver. There are definitely at least two groups. During the day, it's people with signs and chanting and in general peaceful protests. But then there is a smaller group that is just interested in chaos. Before the tear gas started, the leaders of the peaceful protests recognized what was going to happen, and then started telling people that if they were there for peaceful protests to head toward the steps of the City Hall building (which is a huge terraced area) and then go home. The Twitter videos show the peaceful protests trying to get the chaos group to leave, stand down, don't deface the statues and buildings, etc. They ignored and started throwing bottles and things at the the police. Unfortunately, once the tear gas started it overcame both groups.

EDIT: So even a Denver Council member is saying that, after 15 hours of being there, he agrees with the observations that it is white anarchists "creating mayhem" and that black people are going to get blamed for it.

I don’t understand the fires and looting what’s it’s going on for the people that built theses business had nothing to do with what happened.
I’m sorry but if they are setting fires and looting
Maybe it’s time to use some force against these
Criminals. How does breaking into a target store and stealing help this problem.

People are despicable. Why can’t they just protest peacefully? Instead, those rioting and looting are just looking for an excuse to be destructive and are probably fueled by rampant drugs and alcohol...and the media! This behavior disgusts me on every level.

It's not the same people. And I hope people recognize it. The easiest way to invalidate someone's message is for them to be blamed for something they didn't do. Anarchists have their own agenda, very different from the protesters.

Here's an article that mentions the information distributed to the Philadelphia police department.

https://abcnews.go.com/US/dangerous...ge-floyds-death-minneapolis/story?id=70924047

"
ABC News obtained a police bulletin issued to the Philadelphia Police Department and the Delaware Valley Intelligence Center that warned that anarchists and other groups are calling on their supporters to commit acts of violence against police officers in light of the protests in Minneapolis.

The bulletin said there have been several social media posts calling for looting and civil disobedience as well as other acts of violence.

"Domestic extremists, including anarchist extremists and other anti-government extremists, are using the unrest in Minneapolis to amplify and justify their calls for dismantling law enforcement agencies and carrying out attacks on law enforcement, government, and capitalist targets," the bulletin said.

I was watching CNN to see what was going on in NYC as I knew we were having a couple protests. Thank God we have a large enough of a police force that they've been able to tamp down on it from turning really violent. This afternoon they had already arrested 70 protestors who tried to turn violent on the cops. Constantly separating them out and taking them away as soon as they started to get violent, stopped others who may have become inspired to also get violent. And this evening, they brought in buses to move away all the violent protestors they kept arresting.

But, I saw a lot of protestors without masks. :( It was announced just today that NYC had finally hit all the indicators put out by the CDC for reopening and we are reopening June 8. It is expected that there will be a rise in cases as we open. But, a real spike due to all the protesting may possibly put off the reopening. :(

The reporters walking amongst the crowds pointed out how there was about 2-3 different kinds of groups there. And it really was noticable the difference once it was pointed out. There are organized peaceful protestors who either kneeled, took a knee, chanted out Georges name, or held up protest signs saying things like Black Lives Matter, or Will I be the next one dead? That crowd was very diverse in terms of demographics. It isn't just black people protesting. It's outraged, frustrated people from all walks of life, race, economics, age, protesting for equality & justice. When some of them would get too rowdy, another person would calm them back down and remind them that's not what they are there for, and they'd calm down for a while.

Then there was a group of people who used the protests to loot Target and the other stores, just to get free stuff for themselves. They weren't anywhere near the organized, peaceful protestors.

Then there is a third group, who just love to get riled up and get crazy and destroy whatever they can. And this is a perfect opportunity to let all that destructiveness out.

Not just ugly behavior from the protesters and civilians and hooligans. Seeing a few examples of protesters being shoved to the ground by police, a reporter being shot at with rubber bullets by a policeman in riot gear, and other crimes that would get a regular person arrested. Those boys in blue shouldn't be above the law either.

I just don’t understand why these “peaceful protesters“ are allowed to set fires, destroy private property, loot and steal and not get arrested? The police are right there and it is all on film. Not like the police can’t figure out who is doing this. If there were some consequences to their actions, maybe this destruction would stop.

They are darned if they do, and darned if they don't. Stop the rioters, they get blasted for abuse of power and roughshod police tactics (which is what it takes to stop rioters....by roughshod, I mean things like tear gas, rubber bullets, those big shields, etc..not abuse like kneeling on a guy's neck). Let the rioters go, they get blasted for not stopping them, not protecting businesses from looting and burning. Can't have it both ways.

I watched a video of some NG guys trying to pull a guy off the hood of a black SUV. People recording the situation and calling to leave him alone. When they went to leave, some guy climbed on their Humvee and wouldn't get off, so they drove off with him on it. People recording the situation and calling for them to stop.

I am not saying that the protests are wrong or that the police are right. I am simply saying that either way, people lose their minds on law enforcement.

The media? The ones who have been arrested for doing their job? Or the ones who have been shot at by police on live TV? What about the ones who had their office building attacked?

What I’ve said through many of these situations....just cooperate with police and if arrested, don’t resist.

It doesn’t matter what color or if you’re innocent or guilty of that charges, just cooperate until you can get it resolved.

yes what this cop did was wrong and he should be punished for it. However, if Floyd had just went along peacefully, would we even be where we are today?

People have peaceably protested the institutional racism of police violence for years and been roundly dismissed and ridiculed. As a society we have countenanced or at best turned a blind eye to these issues. I think we're reaping what we've sewn.
