I'm looking to see what everyone's view is toward releasing the unreleased cards. Did you pick one of the choices on the VMK Home Page? Or is there another way you think they should release them?

I would like to see them be a Merch. item. Just like the Fantasy Mirror and the Red Penny Press. You would have something to look foward to when going to the Parks, with the prizes changing every season.

What would everyone else like to see done with the Cards??

I agree. I would hate to see them sold in game, that would really decrease their potential value. After all, they were designed to be obtained in park, why not keep it that way?

As I went to DLR twice in the past year, hoping to get ONE of these cards, I'd hate to see them go back to the parks.

However, I do hate seeing them on sale too. Mickey Items should be worth SOMETHING, and if they are sold for 500 credits, they wouldn't be.

Which is why I picked Rewards In-Game. Everyone has a chance to get them, but it may be a bit harder to amass the number you want.

I would like to see them sold in the game but maybe at a higher price so they would still have some value.

Well I was able to get the tv and got a bunch but really I could care less about value of virtual items since they aren't real. I voted that they should just sell it in the game. And that includes the tv. Let everyone have a chance to get them. I do think that if they do sell them in game we won't see them for 500 credits. Maybe 1000 credits but I can't see lower then that. And just put them on sale for a short time so those that care about virtual value can have that still.

i think they should sell it in game cause it is kinda not fair to the people who cant go to DLR or WDW because of family and things ( i know i am on of them ) i dont just say it cause i am on of the people who cant go but i say it cause even when things are at WDW or DLR or DLRP or whatever dont they end up in some ones junk room any how after a month? i know that hapens with the animation viewers and animation desk sets

It's kind of funny, this poll is looking just like the one on the VMK home page with making them buyable winning and never releasing them having the least amount of votes.

In both places, I voted to have them be released as an in-park event. I rarely get to go to WDW, but I'm still a card collector and making them in-game items, whether sold or rewarded, would make it so that there would be no cards to go with them. And those particular cards are shiny! :rotfl:

That's because no one likes the Animation Viewers. ;)

i think they should keep everything in the game, sell the stuff in the emporium, not everyone can get to either of the Disney parks,so they're at a disadvantage that they can't get some of the cool things for their rooms, give special pins out for in park quests, none of it is real, you can't hold it or even look at it after you log off VMK. just thought i'd add my 2 penny's worth.:)

From the choices they gave it doesn't sound like the other cards have actually been printed. Although there was the 'Used for Park event' I'd be happy to buy the items in the game, but the card collector in me would like to get the cards too so I would have a complete set. :thumbsup2

Special Pins?

Here's what I want: in every Hotel gift shop, they have unique cards for pins. Basically, the codes get you different versions of the Hotel Pins.

Except that you actually have to STAY in the hotel to get that hotel's pin! It's kinda like collecting stamps in a Passport.

For example, in the Acorn Gift Shop, there are codes for the alternate Grand Californian Hotel Pin. In the Fantasia Shop, there are codes for the alternate Disneyland Hotel Pin. In the Mickey in Paradise shop, there are codes for the alternate Paradise Pier Hotel Pin.

And you put this program in EVERY Disney hotel around the world. This would be an AMAZING thing for VMK to do.

I think this would be nice idea except having to Stay at the Resort itself. At WDW a few years back they sold Beanie Mickeys dressed in bellhop costumes carrying a suit case. The suit case had the Resort's logo on it. My family went around to each Resort looking for these Beanie Mickey's to purchase. Some were sold out. But this also allowed us to see what all the Resorts looked like. And that in itself could benefit Disney, someone may choose to stay at a particular Resort based on their visit to purchase a pin. I think if they offered a special edition Resort pin with a card and VMK code with no restrictions it would appeal to both pin collectors and VMK players. This way Disney would make more money.

For the Mickey Reward Cards I voted to sell in game. I collect the cards but if Disney has not already printed these cards I can see why they would avoid doing so to cut costs associated with a free game. So if selling the items in game would keep VMK and VMK as a free game I say sell them in the game.

Just want to say this is a good thread. Wish VMK would allow you a way to enter short reason why you voted they way you did on the home page.

I'm torn between having them sold in game and used as rewards in game. I have no desire for them to be in parks. Living in the Midwest, we are obviously not by any parks. I wonder if people who live by the parks sometimes forget it is not cheap to get there. We don't have those nifty annual passes. By the time you add the airfare, rental car, hotel, park passes for two kids and me and my DH, let alone souvenirs and food, that is one expensive trip. I know this topic has been debated to death, but it truly is not fair for all of the VMKers who don't live by the parks. We finally were able to take the kids to Disneyland this summer, one week, yes ONE week, before they released Nemo quest. That upset me. Now we were attempting to plan a trip to WDW this winter only to hear that, look at that, VMK Central will be closing in September. I understand it's nice perk being able to get stuff from the parks for the game, but I'm tired of trying to trade for things or buy cards off ebay that those who live close get for free, or for a much different price than we pay. Because of all this (yes I know I went on a rant, but I'm truly tired of this), I hope they're released in some way in the game. Sorry, but that's my opinion.

I voted for selling them in the game because I really want a lot of those mickey windows. I think it would make the most people happy, too. I would much rather have them in game than in the parks. VMK is my way of going to the parks without actually going there and I don't want VMK to be my reason for going to the real parks.

I vote in game rewards... Blast in space even Muahahaha

Give me all your rare and nobody gets hurt ;)

I would NOT like to see them Sold in the game. They were made for being released in the park, if that could not happen I would like to see them as prizes such as Host Prize or some sort of prize. Maybe the new game that is coming out could have the Mickey Items as the prizes.

My point is that I would like those items to be "hard to get", I know that sounds bad, but I would like to work for something nice like that.

I would agree with you with the park, but it would be better if it was sold so everybody can have the chance to get the Mickey cards.
