Can anyone tell me if anything new was added to the 2009 addition? Also any other book suggestions?

I have the past 2 versions (presents from my mother-in-law:)) and I reallllly liked last years. It was SOO comprehensive & also had a great schedule that you could try out. They had specific day schedules depending on how many days you stayed and whether or not you were coming with children. Its so great !

I don't know about this years though. It would be good to know if its that much different. If its not, I REALLY liked this past year's version !

I have this years version but I don't know what they changed since last year LOL

I'm trying it out tomorrow.

I just got the 2009 edition. Most looks the same as 2008. They now have the TSMM added to the rides section. Last book mentioned it was due to open but it probably wouldn't be long lines because it was at the back of the park. They sure got that guess wrong and changed it in this version.

If prices and other things like that changed I don't know. I only borrowed the 2008 version from the library last year and liked it so much, I got the new one, so I can't compare them side by side.

Unofficial Guide: :eeyore:

The UG ’09 has some minor updates, but there aren’t any major changes or new additions compared to the ’08. I’m glad to see that the tone of the UG is gradually becoming more positive. :goodvibes

Birnbaum’s: :tigger: pooh:

Birnbaum’s is worth a look. It’s an “official” Disney book, and it reads like a glossy sales brochure.

Birnbaum’s is generally more upbeat and mellow (Tigger & Pooh), and it’s a good complement to the Unofficial Guide (Eeyore & Piglet, too). ;)

HydroGuy Tips Compilation: :cool2:

Birnbaum’s is a little light on Touring Tips, FastPass info, Park Hopping, etc., so I would also recommend the HydroGuy Tips Compilation. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

HTH :earsboy:

I have the 2008 UG, and I really really like it. It gives honest detailed opinions of everything in both parks. It's a great book.

I haven't seen the 2009 version yet.

I didn't like Birnbaum's. I have the 2008 version of that book too and for it being the "Official Disneyland" guide book I found a lot of the information inaccurate.
