Does anyone know when The Unofficial Guide to Disney World 2006 is being released? I pre-ordered this from Amazon last month. I thought I saw somewhere that the release date was 8/8, but it has not come out yet.

My order shows an expected delivery date of 8/18 but has not been shipped yet.

I'd like to get this before we leave, but we're getting kind of close and I am trying to decide if I should cancel my order or not.

I too am waiting (anxiously) for the new guide. I checked Amazon yesterday and the release date was now listed as August 29th.

Maybe Len Testa will see your post and will add more info - but it looks like it will be the end of the month.

Since you are leaving in 8 days - I would definately cancel the order - it does not look like it will be available by then.

I am going to be cutting it close too - I leave on 9/10 - but I figure I can either do overnight shipping from Amazon or can just buy it at Barnes and Noble here in town instead.

Good luck.

Have a great time at WDW!

You might want to consider cancelling it.

I've unfortunately deleted the response, but had recently e-mailed the UG website asking the same question. The answer I got was mid-October! This will be the first year I've gone to Disney without the following year's edition :(

OCTOBER??? Yuck! I pre-ordered too, all excited that it would be out in August. And now it's not until October. I'm at least a little better off than most of you since our trip isn't until January, but I really wanted to get a jump on the planning.

Guess I really need to order the Passporter now too.

I was under the impression that most of the 2006 travel guides for disney are released October/November.

Hi folks,

I think mid-September is the likely delivery date, based on a conversation I had with Bob last week. I'll try to get an update on the website today.

Thanks!

Tell Bob to hurry it up. I've got planning to do. ;)

:worship: Oh Len! Please tell us that it will be here soon! We're dying out here! :crazy2:

Anyone know if the updated 2006 version will include all the new MYW dining /ticket info I know sometimes they are written alot earlier and the information can be outdated like the Passporter book which came out early this year but none of the current dining/ticket info was in there.Did anyone get a good deal on the new book?
Thanks!!! :)

Can't wait for the book, either!! Our trip isn't until next August but I cannot wait to get into the book!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I have a "Mini Mickey" version of the Unofficial Guide (2002). Anyone know if they still regularily publish this. I don't need info about resorts, etc. and it is a great guide just to the parks.

I can't seem to find an updated version. Anyone seen one?

Still mid-September, but Amazon.com has a shipping date of August 29 (tomorrow). They've finally got the correct information on the '06 Guide, instead of copying the '05's information, so maybe they know something I don't.

KathylovesPooh, I'm told there'll be a new mini-Mickey this year.

Kata, the new book will include MYW dining information. That's also available free on our website, too - there's a link to it from the main page. Not that I'd want to discourage you from buying the book, too.

tikkipoo, I feel your pain. It's a big occasion in our household, too.

Hey, is anyone going to be in WDW October 6-8, staying at a Disney resort, and want to help out the Guide? Drop me a line if so.

Thanks!

Thanks everyone for letting me know you can preorder the new book,I just went to Amazon.com and preordered it and 3 other WDW books, you know you can never have too much information!!!! :rotfl:

I've been to Borders and Barnes & Noble and they said it would be in on August 30th. Hopefully that is true cause I'm leaving for the World on Oct. 2nd and really am looking forward to reading it before I go.

Len-

What is your website address? Also any idea when "Mini-Mickey" would be out. We head down in October so I am guessing it won't be of much help, but would still like to watch for it. Thanks for your help.
