unofficial events calendar? such as cheerleading competitions?

I saw the list of official WDW events on this site - but is there a list somewhere of the unofficial events that could effect hotels, parks, traffic, etc?
I just saw a post about a college cheerleading competition in January - but no specific dates.

I know every year there is not sure exact name but the all star football and cheerleading competition the first week in December not sure of exact dates. Sometime my trip over laps it but it isn't that bad unless you are staying at a Value resort they tend to be busy during a competition.

that would be Pop Warner, i believe

and to the OP....the best way to determine the large groups of kids (at least the sports related ones) is to check out the Wide World of Sports website. http://disneyworldsports.disney.go.com/dwws/en_US/home/home?name=HomePage&bhcp=1

once there, click on the Event/Broadcast schedule near the top of the page and a drop down schedule will appear. no way to determine the volume one could expect from any given event there. some are bigger draws than others. Pop Warner is a pretty big one though.

There was some dentist's convention too in late Sept/early Oct 2004, although I can't say it made much difference to crowd levels!!
