University of Central Florida

Does anyone go to or know about the University of Central Florida? I am a senior in highschool and am interested in this school. I live in Oklahoma, so it would be a long way to go so I was wondering just how good of a school it was. I would be auditioning for the musical theatre major. Anything would help! Thanks!

I did my undergrad at OU, and am now in grad school at UCF. It's a good school, but if you're looking for musical theater, the program at OU is much better. If you're set on Florida, take a look at FSU -- their programs are probably the best in the state and are among the best in the country.

My dd is a senior in high school also and is auditioning for the musical theatre program at University of Central Florida in February. This is their website:

She has been looking at schools for over a year and really liked their program. Will let you know how it goes.

UCF alum here - loved it! I worked at WDW on the days I didn't have any classes so that was an added bonus.

Glad to hear you loved it. Thats my dd's plan too, hopefully to get into the musical theatre dept there, and work for Disney also.
