I'm at the point where I need to start narrowing down my choices for grad school. I know what programs I like, who and what I want to work with, but I want to know more about the actual schools!

Did you go to Alabama? Live in Tuscaloosa? What's it like? Tell me about it! (One caveat: Bama football won't do a thing to lure me there. I'm a Sooner through and through!) What's good, bad, or anything else? Help, please!

I have never attended UA but have been down to Tuscaloosa many times. Seems like a nice place...sorry I can't help more....but here's a bump.

My son goes to Alabama, but he just completed his Freshman year. He does love it though. The campus is beautiful and Tuscaloosa itself is a nice place to live. I have several friends that live there and love it. Good luck with whatever you decide.
