Not sure if this is the right place but here goes!

During our next trip we would like to see Universal/IOA. We can get a good cdn at par 3 day pass through CAA. I've been told you can park hop (same day) and only counts as one day. Unused days never expire. There are no blackout dates

Anyone know of this deal? What are "don't miss" attractions at Universal and IOA?

We have made great use of this deal now for a number of visits. Our first set of passes were used on three separate visits over a 2.5 year time span, and there was never a problem with them.

Don't miss attractions? Ours include...

at USF: MiB, Shrek, Back to the Future, Terminator 2

at IoA: Hulk, Spiderman, Ripsaw Falls, Bilge Rat Barges, Jurassic Park River Adventure, Poseidon's Fury

If you can swing it, I would strongly recommend staying onsite for the Front-of-the-Line (FOTL) access. It's like Fastpass, but you can skip the standby queue for virtually every attraction, all day long. All you have to do is flash your USF resort key.

The passes are $120 CDN and a great deal. We spread ours over 2 or 3 years. Our favorites are:
Universal-jaws, twister, shrek, jimmy neutron, and the water play area is a huge hit.
IOA- Spiderman, spiderman, spiderman, sinbad(show), river adventure, and we like the water rides be forewarned you will get SOAKED!.

I have to agree with Mike on staying on-site. Beautiful hotels and front of the line is amazing.

Thanks guys!-I think I'll order my passes tomorrow. Love to stay onsite but am already booked into YC concierge for all 10 days (oh boohoo eh!). Had enough of winter already-can't wait to go! How about eating at Universal? any recommendations? It's DH, myself, DS16 DD19 and DD's F 18.

If you check out the Universal Studios board here, you can get a fan club card that gets you discounts on admission, hotels, etc. It's like the old Disney Club card for US, but it doesn't expire.

Kungaloosh!
Mort.

When eating and shopping at Universal make sure to show your CAA card for a 10% savings. We liked margaritiville, circus mckurkis(more for the little ones),and monster cafe.

The 5 day pass would be a great deal if you were doing 5 days but it expires thats why we always get the 3 day hopper.

YC concierge- I am soooooo jealous. Have a great time.

Thanks again- Yes, YC concierge on the Cdn at par - that's the only way we could afford it this time. First time - I'm so excited.

How is Emerils or Margaritaville- which would the kids like better (I think I'd like Emerils!)

Never been to Emerils but my family loved the atmosphere and food at margaritiville.

We did Margaritaville last August, and it's a great atmosphere for kids. They had someone on stilts making balloon hats for the real little ones. Our kids (then 12 & 14) seemed to enjoy themselves.

If you go - a word of warning. Split an entree. We ordered one entree each and I felt bloated for two days afterwards. The portions are huge.

Margaritaville sounds great! Definitely will split dinners. How about Bob Marley's?

We always go to Margaritaville for lunch when at Universal. Love the erupting Margarita volcano!

Alright!! Count us in! That will be one lunch-any suggestions for the 2nd one?

You have to eat at Mythos in IOA. It is the most amazing theme park restaurant I have ever have visited.

Here's a link to the menu at Mythos. Here's a link to a review.

A word of warning - the air conditioning seems to work overtime here. We had a late afternoon meal after we had done a number of the water rides. We were very damp and absolutely froze in this place (and this was in late August). If you do go to Mythos, do it while you're still dry. :(

Thanks MikeJ-I'll heed the warnings! (I'm always cold anyway).

You can also sit on the balcony outside overlooking the water. It is beautiful out there as well. Here's a pic.
