Universal worth it for us

I am finding hard to justify the extra cost of a one day visit to Universal and IoA as the only interest I have is The Hogwart express non of will do any roller coasters and it would cost us over $500 for that we could do discovery cove with free SW for duration of Vacation. Is the Hogwart worth it

Nope. The Hogwarts Express is a train that goes from one park to the other. You're locked in a car and just see some projections. It's cool and all, but not worth going to the park to just for that. Have you watched a video of the ride?

There's also a lot more at Universal than roller coasters, even in the Harry Potter area. I'd watch some videos of different things at Universal and try to gauge your family's interest.

Check out what's there and then decide. The 3-D Spiderman and Transformers rides are better than any attractions at WDW, for now. Before I lost enough weight to ride the Universal coasters I still enjoyed going there.

I know you said your not into coasters but gringotts isnt a traditional coaster... Its on a track but it slows down or stops completely during show scenes, its tame & considered a family ride. Forbidden journey is also not a coaster but can be intense for some, you can walk through the castle without riding.

I think Universal is worth it. Transformers is one of my favorite rides in Orlando.
Universal is far more 3d screen rides than coasters... technically they only have 4.

Are you going just for Hogwarts express or the entire HP experience? Are you massive Harry Potter fans or just casual fans? It is a lot just for 1 ride.

Just to have a look really I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan, think I will get a day pass. It's a long way for us to go and not do it. Thank you everyone

I agree the queue for Forbidden Journey is worth the time it takes. I did it knowing I would not fit into the ride vehicle.
