Universal with almost 4 year old?

How are the rides at Universal for an almost 4 year old? He's about 39 inches now without shoes so should be able to ride anything with a 40 inch requirement. Would there be much for him to ride in Universal in general and specifically in the Harry Potter areas? We'll also have a 7 and 9 year old with us, so just curious if we can tour most things together or if we'd be splitting up a lot due to height restrictions. Thanks!

my boys are no longer littles and i can remember the days where they were not able to do some of the rides.
even with stuffing napkins in their shoes, they were still under the marker.

the one ride i have read about is the seuss trolley in the sky where they are strict about height.


you'll find the facts in the UO site in advance and be better able to deal with so no tears will fall.

Generally speaking, the height requirements at Universal are higher than WDW. So much so, that we chose not to go to Universal this past trip. Our two and five year olds were 41 and 45 inches and wouldn't have been able to ride most things at Universal. Not worth the $$ to us at this point!

I a huge WDW fan and plan to take our family there again in a couple years but this Summer we're going to US, we have a 14 yr old, 9 yr old and 4 yr old the 9 and 4 will be 10 and 5 when we go. The little one is little for her age, maybe 40 inches so I hope she'll grow a few more before the end of May. For us, yes we will split up for sure but there seems to be plenty for her to do that she would enjoy. The 2 adults and 2 older kids can't wait to see WWoHP!

My daughter is 4, she is 44 inches tall. We are going next week and plan on riding the following: ET, Woody, Transformers, Simpsons, DM, MIB, Gringotts, Hippogriff, Cat In Hat, Spiderman, JP river adv, Ripsaw falls. This is plenty and well worth the trip. 40 inches tall makes it a little tougher decision. Still worth it but would only do 2 days max and then go to Disney.

As far as HP areas, 40 inches is to short for both Gringgots and FJ. However, the queue is interesting enough that your child would still like the experience for the tour only, child sway option.
