We've just done a VIP tour at IOA . Details of our tour are at the bottom. I think the price has gone up since we booked it as it cost $511.20 for 4 of us. Anyway, just thought I'd give some feedback.
We met before our 10am start at the VIP check-in room at the far right of the main entrance (blue doors) and were offered refreshments while they got our VIP passes and validated our included valet parking. They also took our park tickets off us (you must buy separate park access - we had already got 14 day passes for both parks).
We were met by our guide and 7 other people (no more than 12 are in any one group). We were asked what we would like to do - and since we has a broad mix of people we did the following. For each ride we went through the back entrance/exit. We walked to the front of the line each time.
Hulk
Spider-man
Ripsaw Falls
Jurassic Park
Fordidden Journey (twice)
Hippogriff
Dragon Challenge (twice)
then a few of the kids rides in Seuss Landing (your group would dictate the rides you do, so I guess you'd leave this out)
At the time the access to WWOHP was limited, so to be walked in and out at will was priceless. We were left in there at the end of our 5 hour tour.
We took a 40 minute lunch break within our 5 hours (lunch not provided) and the VIP passes got us 10% off food and 15% off merchandise (I think). Most importantly (for us) the passes allowed us to continue to tour BOTH parks and use the Express Lines (we has got passes for both parks - if you had only bought one park ticket you wouldn't be able to do this unless you upgraded). This means that for the next few hours we took in all the headliners which meant it was so easy to nail both parks.
Admittedly if the parks aren't likely to be busy you might find it simple to walk on to most attractions, however with WWOHP being so popular and the crowds above average it meant that we were able to enjoy everything we had wanted without any significant waits.
Highly recommended.
1 Day/1 Park Non-Exclusive Tour
You and your party, along with other VIP Tour guests, will enjoy a guided walking tour of either Universal Studios Florida OR Universal's Islands of Adventure.
You will receive priority entrance into at least eight (8) major rides/attractions as your guide escorts you throughout the park.
Tour groups do not exceed 12 guests and the duration of the tour is approximately 5 hours.
Price: $150.00 per person + tax
NOTE: Tour prices do not include park admission. Anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
