Prices don't change much. They're around £120 each for 2015. But whenever you want - we tend to get them a few months beforehand.

Some tickkets sellers like attractions ticket direct will allow you to book with a low £15pp deposit, balance due 4weeks out

They may not be the cheapest of sellers but the deposit will protect you from any unforeseen price hike, should there be one, while not paying too far in adcance

ATD came on top of my head but other sellers might also offer deposit only bookings

When we were looking throughout last year they didn't really change much. Sometimes the resellers have sales or short-term cashback offers on topcashback or quidco. The biggest thing that changed them was the dollar rate - as it climbed last year the prices got better although it took a while to catch up. No such luck now :(.

Yes, you will find at the moment that ticket prices are a little higher than they were say end of last summer/just before Xmas when the dollar rate was better for us Brits!

We bought DC tickets about 3 weeks ago now, imo we bought just at the right time as the price went up £9 pp within a few days. I believe this was down to the $ rate as it dropped at the same time. While £9 isn't a lot of money, we were buying 6 tickets so it soon mounts up. We still need US tickets but I am holding off on those for now - no hurry to buy.

ATD definitely aren't the cheapest these days. I read an interesting thread on another board about how their prices tend to include a 'buffer' for their 'freebies' they give out :crazy2:. They will apparently price match if you call them up, but honestly, I'd rather go with someone who gives a decent price in the first place! ;)

We bought our tickets through Orlando attraction tickets as they were the cheapest at the time, offered no CC fees and free signed for postage as well as real tickets. We had no problems at all with them.

Orlando Attractions and Undercover Tourist or Travel Republic are mentioned a fair bit too. I think it's a case of just keep watching their prices - not the best thing to do in your spare time, but it's the way to keep prices manageable when you are doing things DIY!

One tip - of you can, pay on CC, so that if anything were to happen, you have back up of the CC - on anything over £100.

Just to add - you can pay by £10 deposit pp with OAT too, although we didn't.

We bought ours from ATD last year, got free 14 day Lego land tickets free which was great as we had a fantastic day there. They were the cheapest at the time except for Expedia who I would never book Universal tickets through again. You only get a voucher and we had to queue for an hour at Guest relations the year before to change them to real tickets. It was a nightmare in July heat. Love Universal but they seriously need to sort out there ticket collection. It was exactly the same last year, thankfully we didn't have to queue but saw very angry people waiting.

thanks you, will go for real tickets, don't want to be queueing before we even get into the park :sad2:

what price did you pay if you don't mind me asking

Usually we buy the flexticket plus but when I was checking the prices on other sites I found a ticket called The 5 Park Combo. It's comprised of a 14 day ticket to both universal parks and a separate ticket for 14 days to Seaworld, Busch Gardens and Aquatica with free transport to Busch.( Not bothered about Wet n Wild )

It was £202 on American Attractions so Attraction Tickets Direct price matched which they did in 2013 when we bought the Universal two park ticket.

Shop around and if you find a cheaper deal like for like eg. real tickets then ATD price match.
