Universal tickets question

Does Universal have any kind of ID check on their multi-day tickets? Disney has the "finger scan", but I was wondering what system Universal uses. We are purchasing the 7 day tickets for $85 and plan on making several trips in and out of the parks during that time frame. What should we expect when re-entering? There will be 9 of us altogether in our group, and I'm just trying to get a complete picture of what to expect.

Universal started finger scan, they said the week we were there...first week of January.
