Universal Tickets for 2014 on sale question

I am thinking about going to Universal Hollywood before my ABD trip. I know that Universal HOllywood has an expiration date on them (December 31, 2013 currently). When do they put tickets that expire later than July 15th on sale? Will then not put them on sale until Mid-June or sooner than that? I know Universal Hollywood is very different than Orlando.

Currently, the "Buy a Day, Get 2014 Free" tickets are on sale.

I was looking at regular park admission tickets. Buying an annual pass wasn't on my radar, but that sounds like a decent idea in case I get there early enough on arrival day.

It's a great deal, and will save you money if you eat or buy anything in the park or CityWalk (10% off of food, 15% off of merchandise). Also, if you are in a group, it's worth it for one of you to get the pass, get to the park at opening, activate your pass, then exit the park and buy 1-day tickets for the rest of your group at a $12 discount per ticket.

I would be going right after July 4th (blacked out on the cheapest Annual pass), but the Annual Pass could work out well even at $119.95 because it has discounts for food. Will remember that as an option for when I go in July 2014.

Blackout days don't apply on your first visit. Unless you are planning to visit multiple days, you should be fine.
