Universal Tickets Exchange Rate?

If I were to buy two of the unlimited admission 2 park $99.99 (exc. tax) tickets off the official site, does anybody have an idea of how much this would be in Pound Sterling? I'm just wondering which company they use for currency. I think it comes to $220 approximately, and I'm wondering if, with the exchange rate increasing slightly, it would be better to get the tickets off the website.

Thanks to anyone who knows :goodvibes

When purchasing anything on website it is your card that does the exchanging. So if you pay by mastercard/visa credit card the $220 would be converted by the card and not the universal website.
If you pay by debit then the bank is the one who does the converting.
Does this help or am i misreading your question.

At the moment you are looking around $1.52 conversion through credit or debit.
Best thing is to contact the card company you use and they will tell you their exchange rate at that time so you have an idea. :thumbsup2

2 tickets bought direct including tax will be $212.98. If bought with a Post office credit card (or any other fee free CC) the exchange rate today will be $1.64 the cost to you would be £129.87 or £64.93/ticket.
If you don't have a fee free card post card you have I will try find rate you will pay.

Ah ok, that's great thanks - exactly what I needed to know :goodvibes

Since the exchange rate wasn't too good a while ago, we bought 2 park, 7 day tickets for Universal and IOA for £70 each from American Holidays :D

I'm not 18 until the end of the month so sadly I wouldn't be able to get that rate :( I have a Halifax debit card, but I'd probably use my mum's Halifax credit card to be a bit more secure.
Their current exchange rate is 1.56 apparently (http://www.halifax.co.uk/holidayservices/currencyconverter.asp). Do you think that would be the same when purchasing on a card, or is it just a holiday money rate?

The Halifax debit card rate is not the same as in your link, thats for their money exchange service.
I have a Halifax debit card which I used once by mistake(gave wrong card) for an ice cream. Ice cream cost $2.50 ended up paying just over £3 for it.
Here are details of their fees.
Buying goods and services in a foreign currency
When you use your debit card abroad to pay for goods or services, or to withdraw cash at cash machines, the exchange rate we use to convert the payment or withdrawal to sterling will include a conversion fee of 2.75%. We will also charge a fee of £1.50 for each payment or withdrawal

So if you used debit card todays rate would be $1.60 (commercial rate of $1.648 less 2.75%)
$212.98 would be £133.11 plus the £1.50 fee £134.61

£4.74 more than a fee free card, If at all possible when you are 18 get a fee free card, they have saved me well over a £1,000 in last few years in card fees.

If you used your Mums CC you would save the £1.50 debit card fee.

It's worth getting your mom to apply for a Post Office card just to use for your USA purchases online etc. DH and I both have them and we only ever use them to buy either when we are in the states or when we are buying in dollars. There was an offer on Quidco where they gave you £20 for opening and account but I don't know if that is still on.
Hope that helps a bit :)
