Universal ticket price increase?

I have been pricing out tickets for a Universal trip for late August of this year. When I looked at UT a couple of weeks ago, the 3 day park to park ticket was $164 for adults and now it is showing as $189. That is $25 more--is that correct, did tickets go up at Universal as well as WDW a few weeks back? $25 per tickets seems like a lot--about a 15% increase. I have 4 tickets to purchase--is UT usually the best price! Thanks so much!

Universal had a price increase a few weeks ago, and the prices went way up especially for the park to park multi-day tickets. .Undercover had tickets at the old prices when I bought them a few weeks ago , but they have likely sold out since then

Thanks for the info. I did contact UT and they are sold out at the old price as you said. I knew about WDW going up, but I really missed the boat on Universal!

Yup, as soon as WDW raises their prices, you can expect Universal to follow. They raised them about a week after.

Wow we really get a better deal here in the uk! Our tickets cost £110 (I think roughly $165?) for 14 day unlimited park to park tickets, they've increased from £99 last year but I guess that's not bad for 14 days! Surely the price should be the same for everyone? Seems a pretty big difference for being over the pond!

Where did you purchase your unlimited 14 day tickets? Universal tickets are the next thing on my list to organise!

A website called floridatix,I get all my tickets from them, seem to be the best price and some days they do extra 5% off,I'm waiting for this to buy mine for this year :D

We are going to UO next month and I wanted to wait a couple more weeks to buy our tickets. I was just searching price increases and found this thread. Since they just went up a couple of months ago, do you think we're safe from increases for a little bit or is there a chance they would go up again as summer approaches? Thanks!

Though they haven't done it before, i think another increase is quite possible.Especially with the opening of Diagon Alley.

The last price hike was substantial. The two day park to park went from $166.99 to $195.99. I sure hope they don't go up again!!!!

Annual passes haven't gone up yet. I can see those going up soon.

These are the gate prices. The 2-Day PTP ticket on UniversalOrlando.com was $146.99 and is now $175.99.

That is still a huge jump in price for one year. I'm hoping that means they aren't going to jump any more.

Geeezzzz!
Ain't no telling how much our AP renewal will be by the time they come up for renewal late this fall.
Based on all of the increases this year, our 14 day trip this Christmas will cost more than last Christmas' 17 day trip. A LOT more.
air, hotels, tix...etc.....I'm seriously looking at reducing our stay another day or three...hate that. :(
