Universal suggestions?

We're going to Universal for four days before our
Western Caribbean cruise this August. Can anyone
give us any ideas on the three parks, suggestions
about dining, character appearances, etc.

We are staying at the Royal Pacific -- anyone stayed
there?

The RPR is a beautiful hotel that is about a 10-12 minute walk from the parks or you can take the water taxi from the hotel. Most of the characters will be right out at designated spots in the parks, such as the nick characters (spongebob, Jimmy Neutron), Marvel characters (x-men, spiderman), and Scooby Doo, etc.
As for dining I highly recommend the Tchoup chop at the RPR (get a reservation to be safe), and most everyone loves Mythos in IOA for its theming and food.
Just so you know, Universal is two parks, IOA and Universal Studios, with Universal Studios being movie themed rides and IOA being family and thrill rides in five differently themed islands.

I agree the hotel is beautiful and Tchopu tchoup is excellent dining in USO i recommend Finnegans its a good bar restaurant for a character dinner I recomend portinfino bat tratorria del portp on a friday night the buffet is excellent $12.50 per kid and $25 per adult

If you are looking for more casual dining, try Margaritaville. The atmosphere is very fun especially if you like Jimmy Buffett. Even if you aren't a fan, it's a fun place. NBA City is great too and usually there isn't as long a wait there as other Citywalk restaurants.

You will love RPR. It is a beautiful hotel with a gorgeous pool area. We have always been treated like royalty by the staff. Although it is right next to the theme parks, you feel like you are a world away in the South Pacific. It's very relaxing.
