WE have one day after our Disney cruise to see Universal. We get off the ship Sat am, June 8th, and will drive to Universal. We are staying on site. Since we cannot get a two park pass for one day, which one should we see?? My kids are 10 and 7 2/3. :) A day in each would be nice, but our flight leaves Sun am at 7am. (I know, dumb planning).
Also, leaning towards PBH, any thoughts? The kids can still use the other pools...

Thanks!

Laura

It depends on your kids. IOA has more coasters and thrill rides. They also have a lot of water rides. Things are definately more wild and you may have less rides to choose from. It is more imaginative though with great lands and scenery. Universal Studios has a lot more rides, shows and attractions they can ( or may want to ) do though some of them are scary they are not coasters, launchers, or droppers. :) The scenery here is a bit more appreciated by adults but is still fun.

Hi there.. how tall is your 7 2/3 :D child?

My 8 year old could not ride some of the rides at IOA - the hulk and Duelling Dragons have a 54 inch restriction.... Dr Doom had a 51 inch (I think)

Anyway - she was so disappointed but still she loved IOA.

Universal is fun too... all the attractions are based on the movies, Back to the Future, MIB, Twister, Terminator II, Earthquake, Shrek (new attraction)

We loved both the parks - you will have fun no mater what you choose... if you can swing another pass for the other park - you could do the highlights of both - you have FOTL which gets you through pretty quickly.

Thanks. I got 2 day hopper ticket so we can go to both parks in one day. DOn't know what we will do with our other day. Maybe come back to Universal. Anyways, one day at Universal and IOA. So what are the hightlights??? We will try to hit the best of both parks!

Passes never expire so even if you don't use your second day now, you can use it anytime. I'm sure you will want to return! You should be able to do most rides in one day with your front of the line pass you get from staying on-site. You won't be able to do all the shows though. You can save some stuff for next trip. Make sure you do:

First park IOA ... be there before the gates open and head over to Jurassic Park for Pteranadon Flyers which is a very fun kiddie ride. If you don't ride it early, you won't have the time to ride it later since it is a very slow loading ride and the line up gets really long very quickly and your front of the line passes cannot be used here. After that you can do Dr. Doom, Spiderman, Dudley, Popeye, Jurassic Park, Cat in the Hat, and one fish two fish. I would leave out Poseidan's Fury for this trip.

Grab some lunch and then head over to USF.

Do Jimmy Neutron, Shrek, Twister, Jaws, MIB, ET and Terminator. Squeeze in some shows if you can. There is a cute little Woody Woodpecker coaster and playland near ET that is fun as well.

Have fun!!!
