Hey guys, we are booking a disney cruise and disneyworld visit for next year. We were thinking of hitting orlando 2 days before the cruise to get over jet lag (coming from australia) and possible see some of the sights, do some shopping etc.

We were originally thinking seeing sea world with one of our free days as we are animal lovers, but now tossing up between sea world and universal studios. We have 3 kids, 11, 9 and 3, which would be the best place to visit for us?

If the kids like rides and Harry Potter then Universal Islands of Adventure and you could park hop to Universal Studios the same day. They have a great play area for younger kids.
Seaworld has a couple roller coasters but mostly shows, they also have a good play area for younger kids and some hands on with the animals.

I would go with whatever one has the theming that appeals to you most.

If animals/marine life/whales/dolphins appeal more to your family, and if you enjoy a mix of shows and rides, go with SeaWorld.

If you are more of a rides-focused family, are Harry Potter fans, then go with Universal.

Both are great options.....particularly if you stay at one of the onsite hotels in either location. By doing so, you will get free Quick Queue (at SeaWorld) or free Express Pass (at Universal) which will give you front of the line access to all the rides :thumbsup2 .
