We are considering an October trip this year for WDW and US...My 6 year old dd LOVES US but I was concerned that if we went during the day in October some of the attractions that are her fav's would be closed down due to the Halloween goings on. Is this true?

She did everything at US except The Mummy and maybe one other attraction.

Thank You So Much For You Help!

i have gone the last 4 years in october, either the first or second weekend.

in 05, posidon was closed due to the fact it was used as a hhn house.
other than that, i can't recall any other rides down during the day.

you will find that there will be cut off points for some rides such as hulk/dueling dragons way before 5. that is done to insure the park can be emptied out prior to hhn.

in the past 4 years, ioa closes to the day guests at 5 while us closed at 6.
park guests leave at those times to prepare for hhn.

in years past the hhn event started to the general public at 7, last year it was 6:30.

i found that the crowds weren't there in the daytime until about 4.
many of us that do the hhn go at that time and then venture over to the 2 stay and scream areas at 5.

And yes, HHN is fun. But not for your 6 yr old. Dont even think about taking her to it! During the days its usually less crowded also in october, but do expect to see loads of props, especially if this year is anything like last...loads of props hanging around everywhere.
