Universal Studios in July-Crowds?

Has anyone been to Universal Studios recently and how were the line waits for rides and shows? Was wondering if needed to buy the front of the line passes or if the VIP tour is worth it both at $100 or more each.

We used Front of the Line passes last Saturday and our wait was always less than 5 minutes. We were able to do everything in the park.

We were there on June 27, 2005 , in the A.M. crowds were not bad at all, later in the day it did get busy.. We still had less then 10 min waits for the rides. We really enjoyed Universal Studios, Our Boys loved all the characters that were out and about there also..
