AAA is offering 2nd day free... we are wondering if we really need 2 days or if our time would be better spent else where?

We will be going in Sept. So not during the really busy time.

Thanks

I have actually not been to Universal Hollywood, but based on my research and my experience at Universal Orlando, you really do not need more than one day unless you want to do lots of things more than once. There are so many things to do in Southern California that I would rather spend the other day doing something else.

I went to Universal Hollywood last September. IMO you do not need more than one day. There was no lines and remember that universal hollywood does not have as many rides as orlando. You may want to do the backlot tour when we went they were taping Meet the fockers and Desperate Housewifes.

I've read some trip reports from other boards. It appears Universal Studios Hollywood can be done in a day. You'll need a full day to do everything. The park is currently offering a buy one day, get the rest of the year free promotion. It's like an annual pass for rest of the year, but with no benefits like free parking. You can also purchase the park's version of a Fast Pass for about $30 to $40 more than a one day's admission. If you want to be treated like royality, you can do the VIP tour for around $140. From what I heard, you have your own private tram, look around backstage areas, and walk around a working TV or movie set.
