I have a resources catalog from the California Department of Education that was on the table of freebies in the public library. While flipping through it, I noticed an advertisement for Universal Studios Hollywood educational programs the advertisement said are now in their 12th year. I looked on their web site, and it says that these educational programs actually start in school classrooms and that there are followup lessons in the classrooms after the students return to school after attending the programs at Universal Studios Hollywood. Are there any school teachers here who have participated in these Universal Studios for school credit programs?
I am wondering whether these programs would work for homeschooling families because I always thought that the ability of parents to take their children places that might not be practical for a large class would be a major advantage to homeschooling. The physics and so forth to be learned in a theme park are very real and probably more easily taught than from a textbook.
