Do they have any kind of accommodations for disabilities at USO? If not, tips for touring?

Thanks!

They do. It just depends on what it needed. I know when my friends go, they receive an attractions card, don't remember how exactly it works, but it has to be picked up at Guest Services every day. They don't make it for a range of dates, only for the day that you are there.

Hey, haven't seen you here for a while!

There is more information about Universal's version of the Guest Assistance Card in the disABILITIES FAQs thread.

Thanks, Sue. Don't faint, but we haven't been to WDW since 2008. Just moved to Texas 6 weeks ago, and we promised the kids a trip this summer.

How is your DD doing?

I didn't realize it had been that long.:)

My DD is doing pretty well. How are your kids doing?

I just came back from Universal Studios.

I went to Guest Services and asked if they had any special pass for my son because of ............

She said yes and explained to me how it worked. It's basically a virtual queue line. If the wait time is 30 minutes or less, they will send you through the Express Line. If the wait time is over 30 minutes, they will write on the card the time you came to the line and when to return. They will validate your return. You need to keep your card out since they scan the barcode at the bottom.

Also, you can only be in ONE virtual queue at a time!

The Guest Services rep also put a range of dates on my card so I didn't need to come back every single day.

This was so much easier than the last time we went years ago. Last time, they just gave us a pass so we could do baby swap which did not meet our needs at all.

Good to know. My friends were told that they had to come back every day to get it. I guess it depends on the GS rep.

I don't think the rep asked me and she gave me a range of two months. I will have to doublecheck the pass when I get home.

I only needed it for that day.

Same, pretty well. Life of having kids with ABILITIES... thanks for the info. Looking forward to our trip.

Do you have an annual pass?
I have heard of them giving a longer time with an annual pass because they assume you will be coming often.

We were just there today. At the wand shop, dd was not picked but as everyone was leaving, they called her back and essentially did it all over for her solo. :) it was the best part of the day! I was surprised as she didn't express disappointment....I expected her to! They did it all on their own!

The pass worked to use the stroller as wheelchair. It wasn't a busy day but the rides that were crowded, we were told to come back....the most time we were told was 15 minutes. The most time we spent in a line was maybe 12 minutes and I think that one broke down for a few minutes.

Most CMs were friendly, some were disinterested but we had no bad experiences. Whew, I wasn't sure what to expect. Dd did very well, only melting down twice over small stuff, she was getting tired at the end and the 6 pm closing time caught us offguard. Oh she was disappointed that only one cm noticed her birthday button. She kept sticking her little chest out. :( nearly all WDW CMs noticed on her last birthday trip.

Her favorite part was the talking fountain. She was still talking about it before she fell asleep. :cloud9:

Now we are off to WDW!
