Does Universal ever discount their tickets for Canadians? We booked our trip but not the tickets-- now I am worried about our dollar and wondering when I should reserve tickets... we're not going until September.

I'm not sure about the discount for Canadians, but if you collect Air Miles or Aeroplan then you can redeem your points for US tickets.

I am also going in September. :) I purchased 2 3-park unlimited tickets on Undercover Tourist for approx. $630 CAD.

I found later I could have saved a tad (about $30CAD) by purchasing them at Air Canada Vacations. Right now it looks like ACV is the cheapest.

EDIT: I'm just the opposite of you though, only have the tickets and am waiting to book airfare/hotel once appropriate deals arise. :)

Not sure if you can still do this but a few years back I had Petro Canada Petro Points that can be used to "purchase" CAA dollars which you can then use to "purchase" Universal passes.

Be careful with CAA. I checked about a month ago and they were considerably more expensive than Undercover Tourist for tickets. I suppose though, if you had enough points it would make it worth it.

Has anyone ever bought UO tickets from those companies that also include transportation to and from Disney resorts? We'll be staying at Disney in October and going both places, but trying to figure out what the best and most affordable way to get to UO and back from Disney is.....

As far as the tickets go, I had heard that CAA was good but I checked online not too long ago and they were the same price as if you get them at the gate....

Yup-good of you to point that out and for sure they are more expensive, I would only do it if I had the petro points to convert or perhaps even if someone had gifted me CAA dollars and I was looking to trim my budget. What I did was cashed in enough to buy 2 passes and then paid out of pocket for the other two I needed.

Also still needing to buy tickets for September. I have a 7 day (2 park) Universal ticket that I redeemed from AirMiles quite a few years ago and I am looking for tickets to Sea World and Aquatica for myself and then I will get a Orlando Flex Ticket for my niece.

Hotels are booked. I booked Cabana Bay Resort with Flight Centre. I waited a bit to book our SeaWorld hotel and then Flight Centre didn't have any of the official hotels. My TA booked Springhill Suites with Hotels.com I believe.

Where on air canada vacation's website do I find the universal tickets?
I found them by following the directions above and then I clicked on All things to do in Orlando. Then I found 1 day ticket for Universal and at the bottom left of the box it said said view all options. Then more ticket options opened up.

Where on their site did you find these? I tried looking and got lost. :(

EDIT: NM, I just saw that you replied.

I ended up getting our Universal tickets from Air Canada Vacations. The 2 day with a 3rd day free ended up being $268 cad each. Universal's current deal for the same ticket is $285 Cad. It saved me almost $50 Cad. That will buy me 3 churros lol.
Here is a link for ACV.

Universal is no#3. In the dialog box... in the bottom left corner it says *view all options*. click on that and it will open up all of the ticket choices. The pass I bought is listed as $261. However the price in the cart is the real time price. I spoke to an agent and she said the price is changing due to our $

AirTransat has a great deal on Cabana Bay at least for the beginning of September. Raimiette was the one to tell me about the deal. I had already booked and the cost to cancel was more than the savings.

i found that same deal and booked it! glad it's a good price-- i thought so. still looking for tickets but worried if the price might go up. i'm debating either the 3 park unlimited or the annual pass... that way, we could maybe visit again-- probably not if our dollar stays down.

Glad I found this thread!!

I have a quick question regarding the air canada vacation tickets...

I can select a date for purchase in January, but not in February when we're heading down. Does the date matter? It sounds like the only restriction is that they have to be used within 14 days of first use.

Also, can we use the 3rd day for the water park?

Date should not matter. You can't use the 3rd day for Wet 'n Wild.

I was looking at booking a Universal Vacation Package through AirTransat. And I had a couple of questions.

1. I noticed the description for Cabana Cay Beach Resort is "Room with car". Does anyone know what that means? Does the room theme involve a car or is it referring to free parking if you have a rental car.

2. If I book the Royal Pacific Hotel, does it include the Express Pass for all passengers for the duration of the stay?

Thanks

1. I'm pretty sure it means you get a rental car with your booking.

2. Yes. I think it is up to 4 people for a room and then there's a surcharge added for additional people.
