Universal show!

Anyone else excited about the Universal show coming back? (Actually, if you're a Universal newbie, I'd listen to the old shows. While a lot of the stuff is old, a lot is still valid).
Maybe it's because I just gave in and booked a Universal trip for this summer, but I'm curious to hear what the gang has to say. I'm dying to hear their experience at RPR, as I LOVED RPR, and was meh on HRH.

I'm really excited about this too. One of the things I had said on the survey is that I'd like to hear more Universal reviews and especially the hotels so I can't wait to hear about RPR. With HP opening, a lot of people are going to be looking to go to Universal, including myself and I've never been so I'm starting from scratch. I'm so looking forward to hearing all about it.

I am excited about it as well! However, I will only hear one before my trip the last week of April! I am wishing they decided on this a couple of months back but oh well...still good that they are doing a Universal show!!

I was grinning ear to ear hearing this news. There is so much opportunity for a Universal podcast done right. Even with just the DisUnplugged format, we can get Dining Reviews from Kevin, Universal News (and hopefully Sea World, etc) and things of that nature that will make a nice change of pace. Disney's great, but there are a lot of other really fun things to do in Orlando, with many of them taking place at Universal Studios.

I think it's awesome!!! It's like I hit the Disunplugged jackpot as the DW and I have reservations at RPR for 2 nights prior to our stay at Disney (which is at CBR) in April/May!! So I can't wait to hear what Pete has to say about RPR and Universal in general!!! I am pumped

Yes I am! A month ago I started listening to the old Universal shows and was wondering if Pete was ever going to do that again with the opening of the world of Harry Potter. So.. I AM EXCITED! Can't wait until the end of the month to listen the Universal show

I am very excited. When I started listening to the dis they had already stopped doing a universal show. In the fall I went back to the beginning and started listening to all the shows. I loved the universal show. I was sad when it stopped. I was so excited to hear it was coming back.

I am planning to go to Universal for the first time next year.

I'm glad it is coming back. I think they should just do one big Orlando podcast, but if it has to be broken up, so be it. It'll be great.

I love hotel reviews. I should do hotel reviews, lol. I've stayed in all the Disney hotels except 3 (BLT, SSR, Pop) and the Uni hotels (except HRH - no desire) and I still can't get enough of listening to, agreeing and disagreeing with other people's reviews.

I prefer the Uni hotels to the Disney hotels for many reasons and am eager to hear how it goes.

Too bad you switched away from the mp3 file format. I download the podcast into my mp3 player and non-mp3 formats are unreadable. I guess I will no longer be able to listen to your podcasts. I've been a listener for 3 years and this is sad.

itunes should be able to convert to a mp3 format. right click the file from your podcasts, and it should be there.
loved the eight minutes of dead air!!! just kidding.

Not only a Universal podcast, but an enhanced podcast with chapter breaks and pictures? Pinch me, I'm dreaming!

One quick technical thing, and maybe this is better served with an email to Corey, but what would it take to get the DisUnplugged logo to come up in the box on iTunes like many of the other "professional" podcasts? That's not a dig at anyone who doesn't have an official logo download with the show, but on the podcast screen in my iTunes, DisUnplugged almost sticks out like a sore thumb with ESPN podcasts, WDW Today, Magical Definition et all having an official logo pop up. The DisUnplugged logo is something pretty cool and should be put out as much as possible!

Is the new "chapter" format going to transfer to the Disney show?? I LOVED this! It was great to see a pic of the pool at RPR and of the Seaworld trainer. It was also nice to have a nice place to stop and pick back up. I listen in the car and on my lunch break on 2 different devices and it was nice to not have to search for the spot I left off on.

Can't wait for next months show!

Hey Folks, really enjoyed the Universal/Sea World show! And the enhanced podcast version was great!
I don't go to Universal at all when I'm in Florida, my time is spent at WDW and occasionally Sea World so this show was very informative to me.
Oh and Corene Frye was great! Please have her on more often discussing Sea World. Maybe you could add Busch Gardens to the mix? I would like to hear her comments on that park as well.
