Universal/seaworld split

Sorry I can’t seem to find any tips
We are going to arrive on a Wednesday night and staying till Tuesday
Was thinking about doing seaworld Thursday/Friday and possibly a water park/hotel day Saturday if it’s to packed to enjoy the parks and universal Sunday/Monday
Any advice on hotels?
I heard there is a shuttle to seaworld but it’s not reliable.
Should I book at a seaworld hotel for the 2 days then go to universal?
Any suggestions would be appreciated
We are going as a family of 6 we Uber might get pricey
Any tips from others that combined?
Is getting the sea world passes the most economical?

Really up to you, if you want to move hotels. I would do so, but w/ 6 peeps it might be harder.

There are plenty of hotels that are walkable to either SW & Aquatica or to Universal, so doing a split stay and staying very near each park would take it down to about 3 Ubers - that would be cheapest option. Many hotels also have free shuttles, although the timing may not be great. I would be inclined to call and double check the current shuttle availability before relying on that as an option, though.

Have you looked at Discovery Cove as a ticket option? The +2 park package includes SW & Aquatica for the whole visit, which makes it a pretty darn good deal. The further away your trip, the cheaper the DC prices tend to be. If you go this route, and are driving, get one person the +3 park package for free parking.

Both Seaworld and the Endless Summer resorts are on the I drive trolley line. Never done it, but we were thinking this could be an option to go from Universal to Seaworld.

We have done the trolley to Sea World in the past (2014?). It worked great for us. There was a trolley stop not far from the hotel and it dropped off/picked up right by the entrance to Sea World. Not sure what has changed since COVID but definitely something to consider. It beats changing hotels. I think they have multi-day passes as well.
