Universal season pass question

If you buy a season pass from Universal, will they not mail it to you? On their website they seem to only be allowing me to pick it up at the will call window.

If I can only pick it up, why? Is it a big hassle? and does that mean I cannot use it for a hotel discount?

What if I buy it now and we are not going until August?

You can book an onsite hotel room with the app code before you actually have the AP

Show the activated AP during your stay to keep the discounted hotel room
rate

Many buy the AP before they check into the hotel and show the front desk their AP after they are there

I have an AP and renew mine yearly
But I buy special event tickets thru the UO site yearly
I get the option of having the tickets mailed to me or do the kiosk pick up
Mailed tickets have a fee so I go with free kiosk pick up

I am just trying to get our tickets organized before prices go up

It's good to buy before prices increase

I buy special events tickets online and receive a confirmation email from UO

If I have any issues using the kiosk to get my tickets, I have the TM nearby to help print the tickets out for me

Yearly I buy my HHN tickets on line which is about 3.5 months out from the time I will be in the park

I take the cc I used to buy the tickets and the confirmation info they sent me months back to use the kiosk pick up

With our Disney tickets it has always been (for us) pretty straight forward, this time I feel we have more options and it is kind of making me crazy. Not so worried about handing over money with nothing to show for it now.

i know how you feel.
the first time i used the universal site to order any type of tickets, i had the same thoughts you probably had.
the one good thing for me was that a big hunk of the costs i had for the vacation, was paid for months in advance.

Yes, you get an email that states that you will need to print it out and take to any ticket window to get the passes, and that the CC who purchased the passes has to be there to pick them up. I'm assuming they do that to verify you are you I guess

You can just go to the will call kiosk and get it there. Easy.

It's not really much different from WDW. When we've gotten aps to dlr we got them online without having them sent. Same thing. Only there's no kiosk there. And you can do will call for WDW aps.
