Universal rides closed during Mardi Gras?

Did a search, but didn't find what I was looking for. I was looking up hours during our 2 days at Universal and I see that there is a Mardi Gras concert/parade that Saturday night. Under the Mardi Gras FAQ's it says "Universal Studios’ rides and attractions will close at parade start." Does that mean they will stay closed, or will they just be closed while the parade is going on? It says the parade is at 7:45, but the park hours are listed as 8a-10p that day. I'm worried about it throwing a wrench in our touring plans. (Though we will have park to park and early admission.) Thanks in advance for any advice! This will only be our 2nd time at Universal, and the first time during the busy spring break season.

The rides open up again after the parade.

The rides are open durring the parade. They end up closing down the line to finish who is in line before park closing time. Then when the concert starts normally 45 minutes after parade start and 15 minutes after parade end, the rides are closed but still finishing people in line.

For example.

This past weekend. Parade starts at 7:15. Sometime before 8pm at park closing they cut off the ride line. While the concert is going the rides are finishing up. You can leave the park at 8pm closing like a normal day or stay and watch the concert. It been this way for many years as I know of.

I forgot to add if the park is open later than the rides will stay open. But then the concert and parade might start a little later too.

When we went in 2013, the rides and lines were definitely still open after the parade. The parade was done by 8, and the park was open until 9:30 or 10, so we went on about half a dozen rides during that time, while everyone else was watching the Pitbull concert.

They may have been open during as well for all I know, but we were watching the parade.

Does the parade run on days that there is no entertainment scheduled? I'm thinking not, but can't tell for sure.

No the parade does not run on non mardi gras nights.
