Good Day All

Looking at 5 nights mid August 2024 at Universal Resorts. Booking it through Costco travel. It’s cheaper than booking thru Universal direct and some of the better known online agents.

Has anyone found better deals than Costco? E.g. book hotel Expedia, pay local discount ticket reseller (undercover tourist).

Right now, 5 night family suite at either cabana bay or dockside with 5 day tickets for family of 4 is around $3291 CAD. Doesn’t include flights. Got those on points.

Anyone else shopped around and found a better deal?

Yes, I know….only a month away!!!!!

Just a quick recommendation for the Family suites at Dockside & Cabana Bay.
I love both and have had a few wonderful stays.
My room to Volcano Bay was a quick 5 min walk from my room at Cabana Bay.

I book my resorts either via Scene+ points or Airmiles points so I can't comment on Costco's prices but
5 days of tickets for a family of 4 can be quite costly so think you are getting a good deal.

I have used Undercover tourist to buy single park day with Express Pass.

Have a wonderful time.

Ive stayed in beach tower with cabana bay view. Wondering if the atmosphere as good at dockside, since it’s a little detached. Lots of stuff to ogle at on CB site. Wasn’t impressed with our CB Thunderbird room several years ago.

Given you are there for five nights you may want to look at one of you getting an annual pass and using that to discount a room and tickets for the others. Mid August should not be a Blocked date for the lower cost Annual Passes (possible exception of Volcano Bay depending on your dates). Even the basic pass gives you a small discount at the hotels' restaurants (more expensive pass gives more and larger discounts so you may want to check that).
We get the annual pass even when we are there for only two or three days but then we time it to use the next year as well. The AP room discounts tend to be good especially for the resorts that give you "free* Universal Express Unlimited".
Here is the link to the AP rates https://res.windsurfercrs.com/ibe/d...hildren=0&promo=aph&iata=&group=&hotels=&ada=
(from the Universal Orlando Resorts & Hotels forum)

From this page you can follow the links to check the blockout dates and benefits.
If you go with the package it still may be worth converting one ticket to an AP to get food discounts if you are eating at your hotel. On a five day pass it should not be too much to upgrade, you can ask at guest services.

Thank you so much for posting the AP rates. Do you know if it is possible to book the AP rates before the AP is activated? (As long as it will be activated prior to checking in?).

Yes, no problem. You only need it when you check in although I do not think we have ever been asked to show it. It is possible it shows up in their system.
