We are looking to stay early June at one of the Universal Resorts. I checked their website and the prices were higher than I expected. :earseek: Hard Rock for $259, Portofino for $289 and Royal Pacific for $229. Does anyone know of a way to get this a little cheaper?? We stayed at Royal Pacific last year and LOVED it!!! :cheer2: But, we would kind of like to try out Hard Rock. Suggestions on where else to look??

Thanks!!! :teeth:

Our rate with AAA club level is 263.20/night. The AAA standard room rate for this time is 183.20. We became members of AAA because of the reduced rates for hotels and also the 10=15% savings throughout the parks. At WDW, if you buy your tickets through AAA, you can park very close to the entrances of all the parks-there's also savings on room rates and ticket prices. The mebership cost for AAA is about 60.00-however with all of the reduced prices it practically pays for itself.

You may want to keep checking AP rates. We stayed at Universal in October. The rates started at $239 and went down to $149 for an AP rate. It may be worth your while to get an AP. They even let you do flexpay!

Thanks so much for your suggestions!! I will definitely look into both options!! Anything to save a buck!!! ::yes::

i have used the AAA for the discounts for hrh.

when i went in october, last month, i did check out other options.
they were much cheaper for hrh but i didn't want to go thru the hassle of cancelling my ressie and re booking in case i completely lost my room.

hotelkingdom.com
and
orangevacations.com
reserve rooms in bulk and offer them to the general public thru their websites.

they were about $35 cheaper for the hrh and for the time i went.
next time, i am checking with them first for the rooms.

it might be a hit or miss with them. i have not used them before but have heard from others that have and they were satisfied with their on line sites.
october fills up quickly due to hhn. i booked march 1 for the october trip this past month

I used this a few years ago for a great rate at RPH. If they do, buy the book it costs about 30.00 and well worth it.

We used AAA last year, as most of the users of this board did the same thing. There was a thread posted asking people what code they used. Just about everyone had AAA.
Book the room now using the AAA code, and then check back from time to time and see if the APH rate is less. Many did just that and got a discount once the APH rates came out. In my case, the price was the same, but we got a good deal.

the 3 on site hotels pulled out of the ent. book promo last year.

We have a AAA rate of $233.10 for June 12-17 at HRH. Every little bit helps. I am going to keep checking for better rates. The lady I talked to when making reservations was super nice. She said to keep checking.

Hey meagansmom! We will be there at the same time. Me and my son (who turns 14 next week) and a buddy or two of his will be at HRH June 9th thru the 17th. Maybe well see ya there! :sunny:
