I bought the Disney Photopass Plus today and then found out there is a similar thing at Universal which I had no idea about.
Does anyone have any info about this, the website doesn't give much info.

What rides are there photos on? Despite all my visits I really don't know.

My son loves all the rollercoasters so would be good to get some photos of him but always think they are too expensive to buy so this might be an option.

Are there phographers around the park who will take pictures with the characters. Again, haven't realy noticed before although we have taken our own photos but not for a few years

Any info would be great.

things ive gathered from reading reviews about this here and there

you can now order it in advance online
you can purchase it at the entrance once youve had a pic taken at the entrance
you can purchase it at any of the rides

the purchase includes one ride printed photo, and a lanyard and a personalised photo connect card

it is valid for 3 months

you can have all ride photos added to the card exp for forbidden journey and ride and rock it
but you do get special discount on these ride pictures

and as i can remember it also gives you discount on other ride printed photos ie photo is down to 10 dollars etc etc

they also do the same as disney where you pose and they add spiderman, donkey etc etc to the pic

it seems good value

I found a little bit more info on a website called Orlando United (copied below):

As of 03/9/13

Annual Pass Package $49.95 + Tax
If you are an Annual Pass Holder, you now get exactly the same as mentioned above for 365 consecutive days.

They've updated Photo Connect. Frequenters will notice that you will no longer receive tickets from each photographer or ride you attend. Instead you receive one Photo Connect card from your first photo of the day. Any photographer can simply take a photo of that card before shooting your picture and add it onto the card. This means one card for all your pictures. This also works at all the photo ops and rides. If you buy the 5 Day/Annual Pass you will be able to use that card the same as the Photo Connect card. It has been named the Photo Connect Star Card. Also the Star Card now includes free digitals at HRRR, (although they are given as a code on a paper ticket)and on FJ. (Must be added at FJ.)

Photo Connect Star Cards are available for pre sale here:

Thank you for all the information. Definitely going to think about it and probably pre-order. Will be good to get al the ride photos which we have never done before.

We did this on our last trip. We got over 80 photos over the 5 days so found it to be a good deal. We didn't buy any prints, key rings etc. even at the lower prices as much cheaper to get these back in the UK. We didn't pre-order, we just bought it once we got off the first ride. You can have RRnR photos added to your online account - just ask them to print you off a code (we didn't bother getting the FJ photos as the exit/shop/locker area was hideously overcrowded each time we rode) - just type the code into the website and you get your ride photos included in the package price (not the video though).

Thanks, couple more questions!

What is RRnR?
So when you say you can type the code into the website, do you look at the photo and it has a number on it and then just type that into your account. Is there a time whereby you have to have done this?
Were there lots of photographers around, were they with the characters?

We are only there for 2 days but we are going to try and pack everything in

so I think this may be good value for us.

RRnR is Rip Ride n Rockit.

Most rides just ask you for your "Starcard" to put the photos on - they give you a lanyard to carry this around. It has a QR code on it which they just scan. You can then download your photos from a website (they email you with details when you buy the package).

RRnR and (I assume) Forbidden Journey are different - they give you a code to type in online to add the photo to your account instead of scanning your "Starcard". I don't know if there's a time limit, we did it that day.

There were TONS of photographers around with all the characters. But we went during "peak" season (Spring Break) so I don't know if this is always the case.

Is this something that has to be shipped (like photopass+) or can you purchase shortly before your trip?
We leave in about a week, so no time to have something shipped.

You can purchase it in the park for $10 more.
