During our September trip, both Universal parks are open only until 6pm weekdays and until 7pm on Saturday and Sunday. We are staying off-site (so we won't have FOTL). I know crowds are lower in September, but do you think we'll be able to see a lot in these short hours? We're only spending one day in each park. Thanks to all of you, we're figuring out out touring plans (ie. Shrek first, followed by Mummy, etc..). Any other touring tips? Thanks so much!!!

yes, universal isnt as strenious (sp??) as disney world. the parks arent very crowded when the park first opens. it looks like you have a great plan, just remember this is your vacation, relax.

Thanks for the info! Is there any hope of extended hours in September or will the parks definitely be closing at 6 or 7 every night?

Just like WDW, Universal often extends its hours. They do it based on anticipation of crowds. If it looks like a busy week, they will extend them. Often that will happen, just a day or two ahead of time.
