Universal Paper Tickets

I bought tickets from UT and received them digitally and will print them out before my trip. My question is can I convert the paper ticket to a plastic one? I don't want to worry about it getting wet and I would like to have it fit in a lanyard plastic pouch.
TIA

I also want to have the hard tickets.
I received my email from UT and it says the options are to display digitally or print from home. Which is easier to change at guest services?

Sorry to piggyback off of OP's post but I also bought paper tickets from Undercover Tourist. Is Guest Services open before park open so I can get the hard ticket? Do they also give a separate hard ticket for the Express pass? The last time I went to Universal they did but that was 8 years ago so I'm not sure what has changed.

Either can be converted to hard tickets easily. They will either scan the code on your phone or on your paper. The end result is the same. On our last trip, one of us lost our paper tickets. I pulled it up on my phone at a GS station and had a reprint in no time.

You can stop by any guest services and swap to the normal credit card sized hard ticket. However, it is not plastic, more durable waxy paper - water resistant, not waterproof.
I just added my UT paper tickets to my phone through the Universal app. Is there any reason why I still may want the cards? And if so…

Is there a guest services in Citywalk or any of the premiere resorts? Or must this be done inside the parks?

Only as backups in case your phone dies. You can do it at any of the ticket desks, resorts included.

One reason I like the paper tickets is because you are not allowed to take your phone on certain rides. So once you lock your cell phone in a locker, you won't be able to scan your ticket to get it out. There are attendants with locker tickets that you can use, but it can get chaotic at the lockers and it could take up more time.

Another reason I like the paper tickets is because the lines (entry gates and Hogwarts Express) seem to move faster with paper tickets as opposed to one person showing their entire party's tickets on one phone. Scanning multiple tickets on one phone just seems to clog the line.

Yes, there is a guest services location in Citywalk. Coming from the parking deck, I believe it is on the left just before you get to Red Oven Pizza. There are also guest services locations for both parks off to the right just before the entry gates.

Great points! Thank you.
