Universal Orlando's New Resorts

What ever happened to the expansion plan(s) of adding two more resorts to the mix on Universal's property?

The boat driver on one of our trips said that there was plans to do a Nickelodian themed hotel near RPR, but then Disney beat them to it. He said that they were still kicking around other themes, but he didn't elaborate on them.

I havent heard anything new or recently about the two additional hotels. I guess nothing is in the works for now? Maybe they are waiting for the three that are there to see occupancy levels rise.

Disney doesnt have anything to do with the Nickelodeon Family Suites. Its a Holiday Inn and Viacom owns the character rights. When we were in Disney last the "info" shared with us from taxi drivers to hotel staff to CM's varied but always was entertaining. At Universal once we heard plans were in the works at IOA for a Harry Potter Island. My kids still ask

I hope they never do this. FOTL is just right as is. Add more rooms and you get longer wait times.
