Universal Orlando Annual Pass Hotel Discounts

I am purchasing a Universal Seasonal Pass later this year. I’ve read that you can get hotel discounts with this pass. Does anyone have any experience with this? If so, are they offered throughout the year or just as select times? Any info would be appreciated

They are offered throughout the year. It'll be certain room types on certain days, varying from wide open availability to nothing. They release a few months at a time, but then once they are released the actual AP rate availability changes frequently (including more room types being added). It also might vary on which specific days you select (ie, your room type might show no availability for Thurs night, but then show availability if you look at Tues-Thurs nights).

Obviously holiday weekends will show limited availability. Off season weeks will show lots of availability across almost all room types.

Best thing is to keep checking the AP hotel rate link. If you see something you like, book it since it might disappear. You can always cancel for a full refund up until 5 days out.

How far out are the AP rates usually posted? It seems like dates that are ~6 months out have some now. I'm looking to also get an AP and go next August.
