Not sure where to put this, so I thought I'd try here. We have boys 3 and 5. Last year we did WDW and Sea World. This year I was thinking about trying Universal expecially since they have a free children's tickets special going on. Which would be better for boys that age? Sea World or Universal? We will probably only have one day to do it, we still have 6 days left on our MYW tickets from last year to use at WDW. Thanks!

When you say Universal, are you referring specifically to Universal Studios or more genericly to include Universal Studios and the Islands of Adventure? I like Universal Studios and there is a wonderful area (Woody Woodpecker comes to mind) for younger guests, but most of the attractions are geared towards an older crowd, in my opinion. Many of the shows may be too intense for children that age.
You might like Islands of Adventure. Many of the rides may also be a little intense but I think there may be more activities that younger children will enjoy - Toon Lagoon comes to mind immediately. I also enjoy SeaWorld and if you really enjoy that, you might consider the 70 - 90 minute trip toward Tampa Bay and go to Busch Gardens.

IAO is very nice the Dr.Suess area as well as toon lagoon they will like for that age.

US might be a liitle too much for them and not a lot geared toward that age.

i love both but you guys will probably have more fun at IOA then seaworld

Hi

My son was 6 when we went last year. He is into rides and loved Islands of Adventure, he did every ride apart from the ones where your legs dangle. He didn't like spiderman and found this really scary, but he loved Toon lagoon and all the water rides.

He also loved Sea World, especially getting wet in the Sharmu show. It really depends what your oldest is into. Can't you do both and get an extra ticket. We had 4 day flex tickets, so we could go from park to park.

I would also suggest IOA. We just got back and we really enjoyed it. I fell in love with Seussville, Cat In Hat, Seussical, One Fish Two Fish rides, the playground, cute shops, meeting characters..... Lost Continent is cool and they have a small roller coaster. We loved eating at the Enchanted Oak - like eating inside a tree, good food that was our main meal of the day. .....The playground in Jurassic Park is awesome, even us with bigger kids found ourselves climbing all over, going in the awesome caves (surprises in there), climbing the rope mazes and then you can ride the Pteradon Flyers. Looked like SO MUCH FUN, but since I didn't have any little kids they wouldn't let us adults on. If they like Dinos and don't get too scared, the River Adventure is great.....then the whole Toon area is cute, we played in Popeye's Boat, met lots of characters....then the Superhero area is cool too. We loved Spiderman, again depends on the fear levels, visual thing - ride not bad and it is a creative work.
