I have one day to do one of these. I'm still on the fence if its worth the $$ to do one theme park for half a day...My DH doesnt like thrill rides, so this would just be for the kiddo. Not to mention it has to be on a Saturday of the long presidents weekend. (worried about crowds :( )

Might I add, his favorite movie (DS 10) is Jaws...i'm not sure if the shark would give him the bigger thrill over the thrill rides.

Which would you do if you had to choose?

If you only have half a day, I would recommend Universal Studios. It's easier to hit the highlights in half a day than IOA is. It takes awhile just to walk through all of IOA. I'd hit Shrek, Mummy, Men in Black, Jaws (if you like indoor coasters), and Terminator (in that order.) I don't think you will regret going. It will give you a taste of the parks and help you decide if you would like to spend more time on a future trip. IOA is amazing but there is no way you can hit the highlights in half a day.

Another vote for US, whilst we love both parks as your 'kiddo' is 10, US would be better.

I would also vote for Universal. To me, although Seuss Landing is great, there's not a lot else for young kids/non-thrill seekers at IOA. Although IOA is our favourite park, with a 10 yo I would go for Universal.

hehe, the "indoor coasters" part should be listed after the Mummy, not Jaws :thumbsup2
