Universal On-site Hotel Room Discount Offer?

My friend received an offer in the mail for a room-only discount for an on-site hotel. She said it was 30% off for stays between Aug. 11 and Dec. 25, 2013 (and must be booked by Aug. 4). It is a 7 digit code. I was just wondering whether anyone would know whether this is considered a general code that anyone can use or would it be linked to my friend's name.

Called today and was quoted $335+ tax per night for Club Level Portofino Bay for the week of Thanksgiving. (Sunday through Wednesday nights) with the PIN.

I was counting and this was our fifth visit I think and the first PIN ever! IDK if it's truly a discount, I'm really afraid if I start calculating or questioning they'll say it's wrong We also no have three "adults" as our older daughter just turned 18 so that 's an extra charge too. Maybe one reason it seems unreal to me is the contrast in Disney rates for that time

Make sure you sign up for emails on the Universal site..I signed myself up, and my husband..The first pin was in his name, the last 2 were in mine..It really is weird since I am never this lucky..I was happy as heck with the Stay more ,save more rate

Got a 40% one this morning. I had a hard time choosing if I wanted to add Club level.
RPR was $222 for regular king size, $293 for club. I went for regular. I couldn't find enough value at $70/night for two people.
Dates: Dec 23rd - 26th. Still surprised I got one!

I don't think that there is any way around it. You'd have to cancel before the cancellation date that you are given. Unfortunately, there are many change fees when you buy a package. Contact them and tell them you've got a PIN code. Maybe they can adjust your rate using your pin code.

I got the 40% e-mail today and was able to apply it to my current room-only reservation (RPR Club). It says not able to be used on current ressies, but went through fine. I was glad because club level for my dates was sold out, so I would not have been able to make a new one for the same dates. Saved $400 over 3 nights! Really wanted club, as we are a family of 4, with both kids counting as adults.

Just booked three nites at RPH for August with a 40% off code. Basically got a third nite for about $20 over my prior reservation. So excited for the extra nite. I thought my Travelocity reservation was good but this is even better

Never a Disney pin in 14 yrs.
2 Universal 40% off Pins in 2013. Mines booked by Aug 28th

Of course I'm going January 2014. This pin is only good until Dec 25th
