universal off site for one night suggestions?

we are going end of April to WDW for 5 days and considering 1 day earlier for Universal. I dont want to pay to stay on site as we will be at the park as much as possible. We arrive Orlando at 9am so i thought if we go to hotel close by we could stay 1 night and have 2 days acces to park then head to disney end of day 2. wont have car so cab or shuttle only and both my kids are not huge HP fans but would be interested in seeing it.

So questions best off site hotels near by that shuttle to Universal?

or would we be better to just add to disney and cab it for 1 day and try to get both parks done in 1 day?

Personally, I'd stay onsite to get two fulls days of unlimited express access and early admission.
