Universal non-private VIP tour, my experience

in January, my wife and I decided to take a trip to universal. I booked a day of the non private VIP tour and it was *awesome*

We flew in Friday(Jan 17th), and stayed at the adventura

the next morning, we arrived at universal at 8:30, and we were quickly escorted to breakfast, where we met our tour guide and the rest of our group.

it was incredibly surreal walking through an empty park

We started the day riding Hagrid's, then direct to velocicoaster.

being able to bypass the lines COMPLETELY on those 2 rides is worth the price of VIP. Logan did a great job of giving us backstory, trivia, and taking care of us through the whole process.

after riding Hagrids, hippogriff, forbidden journey and velocicoaster, we took a break for lunch.


One of the best things about the VIP tour is that breakfast and lunch are included. We had lunch at Finnegans, and it was delicious. you can get an appetizer, entree, dessert and drink. My wife had the porkchop and I had the bangers and mash.

All things considered having breakfast, lunch, and as many bottles of water they can throw at us included makes the premium over the express pass WELL worth it.

I learned that I have a physical limit riding Rockit and Hulk. I felt myself blacking out, and that was a first. I didn't experience that on Hagrid's or Velocicoaster.

Here's the list of all the rides we did with general times. Our guide, Logan, Did an excellent job of moving us as quickly as we wanted to move. Additionally, he was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the park, it's background, and general trivial




I will say this, If you have the ability to request him, he's awesome. He even rode ET with us, because why not!

One final thought...

Getting mean mugged by everyone in line while you jump to the front with your guide is one of the most hilarious experiences ever.

VIP is 100% worth every penny. I can't reccomend it enough.
