Hi

I am a Disney World vet and have not been to Universal in over ten years

I just had a question about booking.

When you book a package through Universal, is the entire payment due at booking?

When we book with Disney, we put a deposit down and then just continue to make payments every 2 weeks until paid in full

I am hoping Universal has something like this.

Thanks for any info you can give me

:wizard:

You put a deposit down.

FYI, I booked a package online after calling to ask questions, then later I canceled the package (doing the HP package is pretty much the most expensive way to do a Universal trip, it seems) by phone, and I found the Universal phone answering employees to be VERY nice and pleasant to talk to. So don't be afraid to call!

I did look at Harry Potter package, but passed on that

I was just looking at one of those build your own packages deals.

That is good to know you can call up on the phone.

Thanks for your help :goodvibes

I just booked our hotel. The build your own package was more expensive than just booking the hotel, and buying the flex tickets elsewhere. It could be different for you depending on the number of days

My head is spinning. I can do Disney with my eyes closed. But haven't been to Universal in over 15 years

Hmmm...interesting

We want to stay at one of the 3 onsite hotels to get front of line access

what other places would you buy tickets? We would like 3 or 4 day park to park tickets?

Same here. Disney takes me just a few mins to book

This is all so new to me

Thanks:goodvibes

If you just go to the Loews hotel website (Loews, not Lowes LOL) you can book with seasonal and any other good rates they have for your time. Loews runs all 3 of the onsite hotels.

For our December trip we bought from Maple Leaf tickets, and they worked out well. You can also find somewhat discounted tickets on Undercover Tourist. Or just buy them from Universal on their website.

I was in your shoes before our trip; I'd never been to WDW OR Universal, and the whole thing was mind-boggling. But it all worked out, and Universal was WELL worth it (as was WDW but this is the Univ forum) and I'm glad I waded through the craziness and questions. :)

Oh okay.... Thanks for the tip

I will check out the Loews website.

I am glad it all worked out well for you and you had fun.

Can't wait to show my son universal. Now that he is getting older, feel he is ready :goodvibes
