Hi everyone. I feel like a disney "cheater" for the first time, but we want to go to WWOHP! My husband and I are going down for the 4th of July weekend with out the kids. We'd like to stay 1 night at Universal. Here are my questions:

1. Is it worth it to pay for an onsite hotel to get the front of line access?
2. What is the cheapest way to do this...1 night hotel and 1 day tickets. Any advice??
3. Should we enjoy adult time at City walk?

That's going to be a crazy busy weekend so staying onsite would be your best option.

1. Yes...any holiday weekend is busy but with WWoHP opening, it's going to be insane!

2. If you stay one night, you can get two days of unlimited Express access so I would look into the two day two park tickets.

3. CityWalk is lots of fun for adults especially after dark. Definately plan to have dinner or drinks one night.

What's the best route on the resorts? Again good way to get discounts?

I always book from the Universal website. Best way w/o bein FL resident or AP holder would probably be through AAA. I think if you go to the Universal site and put in aaa as the promotion code you can see what the prices are.

Edit - At the time your going I would def stay on-site and go for a minimum of two days.

Are you serious? Come on. Take your kids, they are the whole reason that WWOHP is there anyway. That's like going to court & leaving your attorney. Come on,take your kids, you'll enjoy your trip a lot more.

ok...nice idea, BUT our kids are 3 and 1. No Harry potter stories for them! Now my husband and I are HUGE fans! I want to get to be the kids!

1)YES, VERY. Especially the time you want to go--book now, through AAA if you can. 4th of July is always super busy. Luckily the parks are open until 9 or 10.

2)There are a lot of ticket options. You definitely want at least a 2 day pass.

3)Absolutely! Check out the clubs, have a few drinks, then you can just head back to your onsite hotel and sleep it off, then go back for more in-park playtime the next day!

June will be our first trip to US/IOA so I don't have any advice but I wanted to say... GO! Have a great time without the children. EVERY parent needs to get away and theme parks are for kids of ALL ages!!!party:

1. Once you stay onsite you will never stay offsite agin :lmao: It is worth the express pass access and since you are going during an insane weekend I would suggest it.

2. I would go with 1 or 2 nights hotel and then a 2 day 2 park pass so you can have some fun and enjoy everything. Plus with a multi day ticket you should get access to City Walk and not have to pay any cover charges.

3. GO GO GO to City Walk :banana: My DH and make a trip to Orlando every year and our main stop now is City Walk. We have 2 DD 7 and 6mo so having so Adult time is a must. :woohoo: We love the Piano Bar and have to stop and have drinks at Margarittaville. We will be there for a week this time with kids and family and plan on one night for Grandma to have the kiddos so we can have some fun. :thumbsup2

I have to agree, no matter what park, museum, attraction we go to see there is more offered when you stay on site. It usually eliminates the headaches you would normally experience as a non on site guest. Usually, the cost increase is nothing compared to the satisfaction and peace of mind. Some times you actually pay less when you gather the costs of everything you want to accomplish.
